@Jacklack3 what the fuck kind of servers are you running to let a Discord bot have root access? And even worse, what in the name of cunt fuck kind of bot is programmed to execute user input as shell commands? Do you have any idea how a chat bot is written?
Since you're talking about eval I'm gonna assume you're talking about a Discord bot in PHP. No distro sets up PHP running as root anyway. Debian uses www-data, Arch uses http as user.
Your statement doesn't make any sense whatsoever, any server where you have root access can be killed in a second, that has nothing with the security to do. It's up to you admining the server to be safe if you want it safe, completely disable root SSH connections etc.
If you want to protect your server just disable SSH passwords and use RSA keypairs instead and you're all good.

But before that happens I'd like to say I 100% agree with you. It's silly how many will start flame wars over a "superior" OS, and even sillier how many get buttmad trying to defend theirs. Just use what you're comfortable with, and don't b**** and moan when someone has the audacity to use something else. It honestly shouldn't be that hard.

Though, I haven't heard of WannaCrypt messing with your files on Linux. I was under the impression that windows viruses are supposed to stay inside the .Wine folder and only affect other Wine programs, and that's only if you don't have PlayOnLinux installed. @Felek666, have you actually tried this?

OK, I admit no OS is secure, and it has been proven. However, you mentioned Android gets hacked all the time by just installing an APK, yeah, mostly because Google relies on obsolete Linux kernels(not even LTS), which have many flaws. To run WannaCrypt on Wine you need to be some kind of dumbo. Not to mention that Linux's security(most of the time) relies more on the user rather than the "antiviruses" or the software that will detect the malware, so I can pretty much tell that Linux and other UNICes are far more secure, assuming that their userbase is more experienced than that if Windows or Mac OS. A huge role plays the updates you do on your PC, that is why programmers, Micro$oft, Megahard, whoeverelse makes updates create them, to patch their software, or to add something. Also, sometimes it isn't the kernel that has a flaw, rather than another piece of software, which can be cross-platform and infect other OSes too. You want a secure computer? Get one without a power supply, closed computers are more secure than those with no Internet.

Second, bout "os x > y", everything is based on your opinion. I say my opinion publically but I don't shovel it down to your throat, like "use ThatOSFrom1970, or Windows 3000, you scumbag". My OS may have that super-duper-wow graphical effects, focusing on better user experience, yours may use less resources, making it more fast. OK I can comprehend, you want to use that OS, use it, nobody stops you from doing so(except if you are using unlicensed Software, this is completely illegal).

I have seen you mentioned Open Source. What you said is complete bullshit. First of all, don't mess Open Source with Free Software, they are different, Open Source means that the source is open, but that doesn't mean that the creator allows it's users to do anything with the source. On the other hand, Free Software is Open Source Software that allow everyone to have the right to copy, modify and share someones work, as long as they follow some conditions to allow others to do the same. For example, Linux and GNU is Free Software, while components of the MacOS are just Open Source, just look at their licenses, wanna give you a link to them?
