You'd be better off sticking to dedicated console hacking websites for technical support in my opinion, even then theirs a few toxic users, however in general sites like GBA Temp are moderated when things go too far.

Well even so, if you asked for help on something and just taunted you instead, maybe they didn't know anything about it in the first place. Usually how i get across someone who i ask questions about. If they can't answer they don't know. They aren't the type to associate with. Just curious, why did you go there for help instead of here?

In my opinion this site's not generally better on a social environment, but I will say there are more luminaries in terms of individual members than over there, which is just one example of overall reddit or rather, internet message board users, which this site is as well. Take the good with the bad, that's how I'm still frequenting this site and that subreddit. To the OP, perhaps start at the origin thread of Corbenik.

@RustInPeace I was gonna suggest that as well, but @Crystal the Glaceon has more knowledge about it as she personally been involved with it so i figured she also is a good option for asking assistance.

I still don't know why people be have the way they do, is like having a popular crowd in school and you're not part of it kind of thing. Either stay away from that kind of poison or just have your own group you can enjoy and be comfortable with. This is why people who need help don't ask for it, they too afraid and why people don't chat or get along. It just a problem and it never gets a simple solution as there is one.

Honestly, your best bet when dealing with anything that isn't Luma3DS is to just stick to the main thread. Opening new threads will just be spammed "JUS USE LUMA!!" Asking in chats will be spammed with "lol use luma!" asking in the IRC will just end up being, "Luma." The site has devolved to a Luma3DS cult and it's sickening.
I know for a fact that Aurora Wright does not support, endorse, or even want anything to do with these people. Thus far they've created burden after burden for her. Not only does she have to maintain this CFW, she has to deal with devs that got attacked in her name. She has nothing to do with the current state the scene is in, but she can't do anything to really fix it because it will fall on deaf ears. It's honestly heart breaking to see what our scene has devolved into. It's worse thinking about how much could have been accomplished if this all didn't happen.

Hell, even non-Luma3DS (official or not officially dedicated with one CFW) are not safe from these Luma3DS knights.
My own thread started out with a "Just use Luma" post. Which of course required defending the justification of using anything that isn't Luma3DS. Instead of accepting a helpful guide, people treated like a threat to Luma3DS.

Corbenik was basically the only one kind of safe. It got some of those posts. Luckily the dev simply made it clear that Corbenik wasn't competing with Luma3DS and people gave up on it. Which is really sad that devs have to defend their projects right out of the box.
Then of course people wonder why devs hate our site and we never see any new projects.

Off topic and selfless plug. Anyone need help setting up any CFW, don't hesitate to PM me. I will help, it might not be on a timely manor, but I will help.
