Laptop Survey (For school!)

Howdy there GBAtemp! I didn't really know where to put this, so I thought I might as well put it into a blog post. I'm currently working on an assignment for my Design Tech class at school where we each have to do research and then design and develop a prototype model. For one of the data collection methods in my write up I've constructed a survey to gather first hand data of what consumers (you) might be interested in, anyway http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/328GLFY there's the link, it's only 6 short questions that take little to no time at all to complete. If you want to do it then that will help me a lot and if you don't want to then that's cool.

Thanks!

Done the survey, glad to see some effort to use the internet as a tool and not only as a entertainment stuff.

Hope everything goes as planned.

i feel like a total jerk because i don't use any cases or anything at all for my laptop, heck i don't even know what an ergonomic stand is

Thanks for completing the survey, everything is going great I'm about to spray paint the prototype I've constructed.

That's okay there's options for not using cases, data is data. Also it's just a laptop stand that is ergonomic (easier and comfortable to use)

Answered as much as I could. Only just got my laptop so don't have anything really other than a free laptop bag my brother got with his computer.

Ergonomic stands? Blech, seem so frivolous to me. Especially ones with extra fans in them. If your laptop can't cope with its components running at full speed its a poorly designed laptop.

Things like these
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/ergo-tilt-la...340191-pdt.html

They set your laptop at an angle for it to feel more like using a proper keyboard when sitting at a desk and portability isn't an issue.

lol, I use the box it came in and my knees.

I answered "No" to all those questions except "Do you own a laptop?" lol.

And that ERGO-TILT is essentially doing exactly what my leg is doing right now. I don't see how it would be all that helpful unless using your laptop at a desk, which I don't do. If I were a primarily desk-using person or someone who sits up perfectly straight with a laptop, I could see how a bag that serves both purposes would be convenient. The only thing I could see being a problem with such a design is cooling. Make sure you account for that in the design, because my M11x gets fuckin hot when I'm gaming.
