Okay, it has been on the front page of temp as the news about an aussie guy getting done for stuff on NSMW and then thought oh no. I also remember seeing the thread and him posting a receipt which said Mt Ommany shopping center.
Anyway, my Mum got home around 4 minutes ago from my sisters house and came down to tell me my sisters boyfriend's brother james had got sued and shit. I asked what and she said yes, something about pirating a new super mario brothers. When she said that I thought holy shit, she told me that the police came in and raided his house and shit and that he is in jail and has a $100,000 fine and that Nintendo sued for $1.5 million.
This is really fucking crazy, apparently it was lucky that he was under the age of 25 otherwise his parents could get done for affiliation and have their house taken, etc.
This is really really fucking weird, though I think the reason he was able to get his hands on the game at first is because he used to be a manager of an EB Games.
