Goodbye 3DS...

Well normally i'll be writing about the anime I watched and what I thought of it but today I've decided to sell my 3DS and all its games because I found its been lacking any of the games I wanted and whenever I go to the shops I never see any good new games at all so its time I say goodbye to my 3DS.

Just for a while though since I plan on buying a JPN 3DS when I get the money for it since I need a new phone as well since my Galaxy W is getting old and I want to get a GS3 and i'm doing this because the EU 3DS market is absolute rubbish compared to JPN I mean all the games get released in Japan first but not all games get to EU which Australia is in so I decided to get a JPN one when I have some money since it gets all the games first i'm sure it'll actually be worth the money I spend on it cause looking back I felt the EU 3DS was such a rip off for not having any of the games I wanted now all I have to do is decide which one do I want the LL or the regular one...
It may seem like I hate the 3DS since I used to be on its boards alot but I don't I really enjoy using my 3DS as much as my Vita but its just because I can't access any Japanese games on my EU 3DS I found it to be very boring and useless and I do regret buying it.

Anyways anime-wise I haven't really seen any new ones apart from Kampher which was funny in its own way and I enjoyed it quite alot the other thing I saw was Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger which is actually a parody of Super Sentai shows about a Sentai otaku becoming a hero and fighting in its delusions and its actually quite funny and well worth watching if your into weird live action shows.

Persona 4 the Golden and I'm planning on getting some of the newer Vita games released in Japan. Somehow I get the feeling you didn't read all of it since I plan on buying a new 3DS but a Japanese region 3DS.

On a serious note though, it's sad you feel that way about the EU 3DS releases and content. Being a content owner of 2 US 3DS systems (1 of which is XL), I cannot relate to you. The releases are pretty good, and I'm happy with all the game purchases I've made (with the exception of SM3DL.)

Sorry i'm not very good with writing.

Well i just felt it is really lackluster when compared to the Japanese releases since they're getting some really good games.

Vita and 3DS are both great.
But if you are in FPS then stick with Vita and if you are in Platformers RPG-s then with 3DS.
Thou, Vita is gonna get some RPG-s from the PS2.
But for that i have a PS2 so i got myself a 3DS XL :)
(OMFG!! Can't wait for RUNE FACTORY 4 WOHOOO!!!)

Same here can't wait for the new Rune Factory. Hopefully I would have my JPN 3DS by then.

But I actually think the Vita will get more JRPGs while the 3DS gets a whole assortment of games like the DS has but not as many great JRPGs as the Vita if the PSP is something to go by.

I never did understand why people get rid of consoles. I keep all of mine from my childhood and shit for not only the nostalgia taste, but if I ever want to play some older games, I don't have to use an emulator or crap, and they aren't hard to find. I mean, I have all of my consoles from the SNES (nes broke so I need to buy a new one), and all of my handhelds.

The only reason why I'd sell my 3DS is if I wanted to get a colored one. Black is okay, but I like having colored consoles instead of the standard stuff.

But i'm not getting rid of mine cause i'm gonna buy another 3DS just not with EU region.

Generally I don't either but some people don't have as much money/the patience to save up as much money to get another console. I'm the same with games. I've never sold or traded in a game, I just prefer to keep them around. I rarely pay the launching retail price for a game unless it's something I really wanted. If it's something that seems risky I'll pay a lower price. Only purchase I really regret in a recent memory was The Witcher 2 at $40 (really not that great) and Mortal Kombat Vita (a great game and everything but it went on sale for $10 a week later and I paid $40 for it).

I'm planning on getting Luigi Mansion 2 when its released in Japan.

Well to be honest I waited for about a year since its launch in Australia and so far I found nothing new I wanted in stores so I looked online and saw all these awesome 3DS games but for Japan only and I was planning on getting a Japanese 3DS anyway so I thought why not sell my EU one since it would be worthless now.

you gotta read jap though...i can't plus i knew when i got the 3ds i wouldn't be playing it much same thing happened with the ds fortunate though for that an emulator came out quick :P

Well I was kinda hoping that the 3DS would atleast have its region lock cracked by now but since the scene is going nowhere I might as well just get the JPN one and buy the games I would normally be complaining about never getting.

I'm not sure if you care but having a JPN 3DS means that you won't be able to play titles like AA5 or Layton in English! :O

I doubt it by the time i'll be able to get it i'll probably be talking about the 2nd season of Haganai or DxD, whichever I see first otherwise it'll be more anime and VN stuff.

I don't really care as long as its fully voiced otherwise i'll probably struggle a little.

I hear you, I still have my first console too, an Odyssey2, never did under stand why people sell their consoles.

I have a JPN 3DS. For now, I haven't missed a single 3DS game I've been interested in. Almost every game that's been released here was released in Japan too. So getting a Japanese 3DS is a good idea, especially if you can read Japanese.

I envy you...

Man I wish I could buy it right now but i'm a bit short on cash but i'm lucky that they aren't going anywhere anytime soon and the longer I wait the more games for me to get.

Just be careful with Nintendo consoles. The best games for them are usually Japan-only and on top of that it's peppered with region lock. That's why you should look into importing the console itself and stick to Japan from the beginning. I'll import Wii U too - don't want to miss a good game because of region lock.
