I was just about to create an XBOX Live account with this 12 month card that came with my original xbox. i never got to use it, and if the servers were shut down DAMN i am too late.

I was searching around that Overclocking forum. I am thinking of getting an ATI card so that if I plan it, I can crossfire.
Aiming to get a x2 4870s or x2 4890s.
They gotta be cross-firable and has x2 DVIs.

Anyone wanna help me search ?

^ i'd say inbetween a 5770 and a 5830.

i'd jump on a single card solution. never really got the point of cf/sli'ing older cards, maybe if you already had a 4770/4850/4870/4870. but alot of the time buying 2 of the older cards new will usually cost the same if not more that the equivalent card. you've got to take into consideration of getting a board/psu that supports cf/sli as well. e.g you can get a 4770 from newegg from 85 US (gigabyte model, $30 rebate from 125), so 170 total. while you can pick up a single 5770 for as little as 138?US.

personally i'd go for a single 5770 over the 2 4770's. dx11, massive overclocking capabilities. but if you're after pure perfomance go for the 4770's, the 5830's are around 240US right now.

my mobo supports ATI Crossfire online. I wasn't really into getting SLI at that time and the other mobos were too pricey.

i might, just save up for a 5770 or 5750 mainly cause of DX11 + Display Port for Tri-Screen.
but if my budget just won't reach that point [lol, maybe], then i will just get a 4770 or 4870.
if i bought the 4890, then I would've gotten a 5770 already.

Since you have a CrossFire MB, then you can get hacked drivers for SLi! Don't forget about Nvidia!
