My Wife just passed away , I have no body

Back in 2018 My Wife Megan was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. She had 3 brain surgerys and a stroke each time. They coiled off the aneurysm. She started having seizures and got more and more till they was daily , some times 10 times in one day. The end of April she had a MRA and found the coil was leaking. She was supposed to have another brain surgery in August, but the aneurysm bursted and that was it , it happened really fast.

Nothing seems to get better , We lost our home at the end of last year because I got sick (endless gout and kidney problems) I could not walk for weeks at a time and Megan could not work. So My Family has been staying in a Motel.


We also had a Daughter pass away in 2015 from a heart condition called HLHS she was about a year and half old and spent most of her time in the hospital ... please watch the video


I am not out to scam , I live in a motel with 3 kids ages 4,9 and 11 ... I don't know what to do and I am panicing .... My 4 yr old before she went to bed ask me when Momie is coming home ... she dont understand..

I have no one to help. I grew up in Sunland California and was adopted. I have been in North Carolina for 13 years ... My Wifes Mom is 68 and has nothing.


Ever heard of A-1 concrete pumping ? was a big company from the 70-late 90's in the San Fernando Valley ... My Adopted Dad owned that.. He passed back in 99, My Mom passed April of last year. every thing is in Probate .. but I will be getting a inheritance in a couple months .. afte that I will be buying a cheap fixer up trailer and lot rent some where .... just so close now --- Wish I had my Wife to share it with

GoFundme only works when you have friends and fam to help share it with ... I have no one........ I left Califonia 13-14 yrs ago to get away from Drugs issues .. came here Met Megan on MySpace and stated a Family ... I have no one

So sorry to hear that. Why dont you contact Social Security Administration? You are qualified, I believe.

WE had her service today , Her ashes was not there , I was trying to Beg yes , to get them there .... I have 90 days to pay for them.... SSA really does nothing for no one . When my Daughter was in the hospital dying SSA refused any help .

You say your mother in law doesn't have anything, but does she have a place to stay? She is the closest thing to family, and if she is willing, you can shack up with her, temporarily, and help out around the place and find a job. She would probably be willing to watch the kids, assuming that she approved of your relationship with her daughter.

While seeking employment, I would recommend seeking unemployment and welfare options on behalf of you, the kids, and maybe even the mother in law--if she isn't already enrolled.

Gofundme can't hurt, so you should try that as well. Not trying to employ the available options while asking for donations is going to put off a lot of people who would donate if they saw indication that you are trying all options. It's better to try everything you can than to give up and rely only on pity. You aren't going to see a lot of help, if you aren't demonstrating the initiative. If you were to say that you had a gofundme, and posted it here, I'm sure that it would be a lot more motivational for people who want to help. Though, I believe, there are better places to post despite you being a longer-term member here.

If the mother-in-law is not in any position to help and would rather you solve your issues by yourself, welfare is still an option, and there are assistant housing opportunities available too. You shouldn't be paying for a hotel if you have no income, unless you believe that it's going to be better in the long-term when you get your inheritance.

I am working at the moment , I meant I lost my home last year from health issues , still having issues .. but not as bad... still can't get caught up, so far behind. I have a great relationship with my Mother in law.. but she lives in a 1 bedroom apartment.

All I am trying to achieve is paying for my Wife's ashes ... I have $980 of the $1,480

I'm really sorry.. Truly sorry to read all of this.

But I wonder, are you sure you've seek all organizations that might be able to help you?
I'm guessing you're an American Citizen, doesn't your country has some kind of Social Services that could lend you money, a temporary home, free clothing, free food... another job... anything?

I would like to suggest you to do a GoFundMe pledge (English is not my native language, so I don't know if pledge is the correct word)

I mean, people has funded scammers before or super dumb projects, or people that has literally no need for money.

Your situation requires it, just, try it dude.
I wish I could help you more, but my Mexican pesos are literally nothing compared to Dollars.

@JuanMena it's not that cookie cutter instant, nothing here happens fast , waiting list can go for a year.... there is no instant help for paying for Ashes , and by the time you may get help .. it's to late .... USA is not the Golden place other country's think it is

I'm very sorry for your loss. Never forget you have three angels with you and they need you to keep calm and think twice before acting.

These are the kind of things I hate about USA, governments prefer to buy weapons instead of protecting their most needed people. There is poverty in the USA (just like in any other country), but the governments propaganda minimizes it to the point of pretending it doesn't exist.

Try a gofundme, and make social media useful at least once. Raise your voice and demand action from your government, it's their duty to care for you and your family.

While you should apply for section 8 housing, there should be immediate temporary shelters available. If you have more immediate bills to pay for, like food, water and clothing, I'd recommend seeing if you can work out longer-term arrangements with your wife's "handlers".

@tabzer Our motel housing is a much safer place the the homeless shelter that people get raped,murdered and kidnapped at. I can afford the housing we are at .. I am just trying to pay for my Wifes Ashes

also we get $783 in food stamps a month .. I make $1,400 a month at work and pay #1,200 at the motel ... just need to pay for the ashes

@tabzer We have a full kitchen , this room is more like a studio apartment , I have my kids bunk beds in here ect..... Though I'm not sure that your characterization is accurate, I just wanted to be sure that you knew it was an option. The motel option is definitely better, as long as you can afford it.
