Wisdom teeth extraction

My teeth are getting removed in about 7 minutes. I'm a bit nervous. Wish me luck

Dry socket is a bigger risk than infection and boy does it suck. Everything will probably be fine though.

Tips:
- Don't EVER use a straw for the next two weeks. That is the best way to avoid dry socket
- SOMEHOW make your breath smell better. Your family will appreciate it.
- Make sure you have some movies and new TV shows lined up.
- Have someone buy you LOTS of drinks that you enjoy. Personally, I enjoyed powerade during this time. I'd go so far as to say that it was what kept me happy when I was sitting in bed all day aching.
- Eggs are amazing. Trust me.

This will be the best and worst week. Best because you have an excuse to sit down and watch TV for two weeks. Worst because you can't eat your favorite shit and you just hurt.

The day of my surgery I came back home and I was spitting blood into a cup for 3 hours. It hurts to think about.

Got it, no straws. Funny thing is, I'm a busy man and have to be up on my feet in two days. Good thing I'm a fast recoverer

Do yourself a favor, and for today and perhaps tomorrow only use pillows you don't like... They will probably end up a little bloody, and perhaps you will want to throw them away later.

I had to have mine surgically removed not that long ago. That "conscious sedation" is awesome! Highest I've ever been in my life lol. Oh and the 2 week supply of vicodin was a nice parting gift. The difficult part came when I went to pick those up. The pharmacy tech interrogating me with a mouth full of gauze and still numb and spun out from all the drugs. Would do it again, except for the terrible muscle pain I got in my jaw like a week later.

Mine were removed when I was 12. I was young when they were removed...

It'll be fine. Your face will be swollen, but it won't be permanent.

it's the worst thing I ever been through. and I had to endure it twice. just use a lot lot lot of ice to relieve the pain.

^ I'm pretty sure it's long since been done, dude.

That said, I haven't gotten mine removed yet. No need. My younger cousin, though, did have some of his removed some time late last year. Not sure when I'll need to have my teeth pulled.
