The Raspberry Pi 3 is a surprisingly versatile and fast little computer.

I can't believe it's only $35. I'm running Ubuntu on my Pi (because Debian is for fedora wearing, hat tipping losers :ha: ) and it runs better then I ever imagined it would. I just got done playing SimCity 2000 in DOSBox with a couple of tabs open in Firefox at the same and it didn't slow down at all. I'm genuinely impressed. This computer is perfect for people who need a cheap machine for light web browsing and word processing.

Do you have a Pi? What OS do you run? What do you use it for? :D

I've been wanting one for awhile. And nxwing, from what I've gathered, Pi is awesome for emulation. Look up RetroPie.

This was made with the Raspberry Pi Zero, but I've seen people do similar builds with Pi 2 and 3

This is by far the coolest one.

@nxwing All I did was burn an img file to my mSD and resize it to use the the entire card. (I'm running Lubuntu to be exact.)

I have both an old RPB and RPB2
I actually use my RP2 as my second computer and I am running Lubuntu on it with a 32GB Class 10 MicroSD card.

I'd install Windows 95 in DosBox, add it to the AUTOEXEC.BAT, and put DosBox in the startup folder so I'd have a Raspberry Pi with Windows 95 autobooting lol

Ubuntu is based on Debian. The only real difference is that Debian focuses more on stability so their apps in the repository for the most part tend to be older more stable releases. Currently I am running a four RPi2 cluster that is used for GitLab and GitLab runners for my local development and I have two arcade machines made from old cabinets that I salvaged and out fitted with RPi2's. I also have a couple Rpi3's that are used as local development servers that the GitLab runners deploy to.

@DinohScene I imagine gentoo would be hell on the pi. With the compiling and what not. Arch might be a better choice for hardcore basement dwellers on the pi. :P

@optikalsaint I know. Ubuntu is a bit more user friendly and feels more complete though. :D
