PSP runs fine on ARM devices like the Shield K1 Tablet (got full speed on almost all games), and that with the K1, but the Switch uses an X1 variant, much more powerful. This will have more potential for more powerful emulators; DS I can see as both Switch and DS use ARM as well :D
I wonder, is there even at least a shitty poc vita emulator at least or is that not even really possible atm

It wouldn't need emulation, just clever wrapper programming.

60Hz = 60fps the monitor can show
even if the hardware render at 120 the monitor can't show more than fps

hz=fps
besides, wouldn't that cause vertical tearing in handheld mode? it would need to be dumbed down to 60 fps
I'm not sure if docked mode can output more then 60fps through the dock but it would need to be adjusted for the tv too

That's what we call vsync
syncing the game framerate to the screen's to have a better experience and more lean output

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

And no docked mode is 60fps too
even though my screen is 144
then it just plot out the same picture multiple times to fill the voids

Switch has potential. But we need to keep working on it.

At the present, not much can be done as far as the public knows.

aside from the usual homebrews, playing backups
playing GC/wii/ wii u games natively?
playing PSX/PS2 games? (how strong it is, really?)

I know switch won't be hacked anytime soon, but I am just wondering the potentials

Wii U won't happen.

PS2 is a stretch.
