So what files do you switch for model swap? is it just only nomral.bch and normal.mbn?

i tried doing that and all i got was a big fat, crash :/

Well, I replaced everything in the Super Sonic folder with sonic's and it crashed, wario-man must be a special case. Here's my theory, In Ohana Rebirth, if under the model tab, If the model has low_n_c00 after the name, it has a chance to work in game, Super Sonic's model name is just supersonic, whereas Wario-Man's model is named warioman_low_n_c00. Again, just a theory, but it seems to have something behind it.

1) Most to all of what you guys tried works on the Wii U version

2) If you want to swap characters, swap the entire c0x and h0x folders. Mewtwo over Lucina sounds risky, but maybe it will work somewhat.

i want to try to port brawl models to the 3ds version but how do the polygons per character compare. do brawl models have more polygons than the ones in smash 3ds?

Brawl models are significantly higher than the hi poly models of smash 3DS. We currently have no way of importing them into this or the Wii U version

You can either dump the contents of brawl using a brawl iso, or you can download any kind of brawl mod (Project M) and view those models.

Ok, got mega-man's model to work with Lucas. Seems like not all model swapping works. Some freeze and some don't.

Also for people wondering about models, we can only swap models, we can't import our own custom models and we can't import models from other games. (we can at least import/edit the textures)

I tried putting chrom's model on Marth on the 3ds version and the game crashed, is it because in the wii u version, the Person who made the chrom model hack video renamed/changed chrom's bones to match Marth's?

I have a feeling it's because there's no hxx folder replacement for chrom. mind to try making a h[number here] folder next to the c[number here] folder and putting copies of the files you put in the c folder in there? wanted to try this myself but there's no EU support yet, urgh.

I did both folders and game still crashed.
I also went ahead and swapped little Mac with Giga Mac and it worked fine but taunting or doing some moves will crash the game. Giga bowser over bowser looks hilarious and crashes the game when trying to do anything.
Kirby over jigglypuff and jigglypuff over Kirby work pretty well but Kirby looks funny when doing some moves.

So, I'm trying to use SD_DS's custom textures, and I've put them on the root of my SD with the proper format, but the game crashes when trying to start a match.

Any fixes for this?

Nevermind, got it. Some of the files within the MEGA that were uploaded don't have a size, so I'm assuming they were corrupted at some point, and don't work because of that.
