So doing it this way there is no way to change setting like in the original blargsnes with options like turning on mode 7?Updated OP again, this time including a separate version without bottom screen output.
You can still tap the bottom screen to access optionsSo doing it this way there is no way to change setting like in the original blargsnes with options like turning on mode 7?

everOnly if you want to.
But don't worry, I'll upload a bunch of CIAs to that iso site and all of them using the no bottom screen output version.
I may do some batch script to rebuild an already created CIA, in case blargSNES ever gets a major update again.
I's my SNES template I see in the folder xD
No, the SNES template you included in your banner folder are made by me, check here, you'll see
Well, at the base, it's an official banner, yeah. But I edited it for have a template. and you took my template
I don't care if you use it, just add credits because I took a lot of times to do them.
AFAIK, blargSNES didn't support special chips at all.Does blargsnes run some games that the original Nintendo VC doesn't run? The ones with special chips, like Super Mario RPG, Mega Man X2..
Nice work! I have a n3DS but this is impressive wither way.
If it's possible, could you try to make an interface ala VC with savestates/reset/etc?
Made a much more accurate SNES VC Banner using PS

Here's a zip with the base for single line and Dual line titles along with the font.
I have no knowledge of the SNES hardware or emulators, therefore I don't know how save state works.
I think I can add a reset option though, but not now.
My batch script actually uses this font to write the text, it even mimics kerning and spacing to be as much accurate as possible.
Just put this same font on the input folder and run banner.bat. I didn't included it because I think it's copyrighted material?
The size and spacing was a bit off from what I saw.
Most people probably won't mind it but it was kinda driving me nuts lol
You have to release the source code for the changes you've made to blargSnes, since its licensed under the GNU GPL
Thanks to this, I made a cia of my Super Mario world called "You are dumb" and installed in on my brothers ds. Thank you!As many of you know, Nintendo started releasing Super Nintendo titles on the Virtual Console since March 3, 2016.
Those, however, are exclusive to the New Nintendo 3DS systems, running at unplayable speeds on an Old 3DS.
So I had the idea of using blargSNES as a Virtual Console emulator, as it's the only one that's known to run at full speed speed on the old 3ds.
Why this? Because I like to have my SNES roms on home menu and I freaking love those banners!
This blargSNES mod autoboots a rom from a hardcoded path in the romfs (romfs:/rom.smc), so you can install your own individual SNES CIAs on home menu that will run at full speed on an old 3ds!
For better compatibility, this mod is based on blargSNES's veryhard branch.
I've also updated the blargSNES compatibility list, adding some new entries and fixing some incorrect ones, so please check it to see which games will work with this.
Instructions on how to make your own custom CIAs are inside the release archive.
Most of the proccess is totally automated and should be user-friendly, including banner and icon creation. (There's a batch script to generate all the files needed for the banner. No need to waste time with image editing, just run the .bat then import the generated files with Ohana3DS which btw is also included.)
Feel free to ask for help or report any problems regarding CIA creation. (Please do not report bugs with blargSNES here, I'm not a blargSNES developer.)

If you dislike blargSNES's bottom screen console, use THIS VERSION instead. It will only output to console when paused (screen is turned off again once resumed) and on errors.

Thanks to @StapleButter and @DiscostewSM for their great work on blargSNES!
Thanks @Asia81 for the SNES VC banner template.
I was very insecure about releasing this since it's just a modification of another person's project.
Note: since blargSNES saves SRAM on the same folder as the rom, it would fail to save since the rom is in romfs, which is read-only, so I had to change that too. Saves are now stored in SD:/snes/
If you can't get sound to work, you need a DSP firmware dump. Just run this homebrew once.
What size and spacing did you use? I can edit the script to make it more accurate.
