Move the contents of the mhxx folder into romfs. You need the arc and tables folders, like I said. That's all that should be in romfs.why is there not a cia already packed?
edit: tried @Scarlet method and didn't work for me. maybe i did something wrong...
I did this:
No worries, if it works then it's good ^^@Scarlet my bad, i didn't read about arc and table folders. Thanks and sorry.
Thanks for the help.
I managed to get it all running properly for mhxx v1.2.0 on my US version 3ds
But I guess the problem now is how will we be able to convert the saved file or switch if the conversion app is in the Japan Eshop...
Any ideas?
Anyway i managed to solve this. It seems that freeshop hasn't updated their titleids for a while.
Managed to find a QRcode to download the MHXX data transfer app.
*snip*
I have migrated my mhxx 3ds saved file successfully to switch mhxx.
Hope this helps.
probably you installed a pre-patched cia...hello,
i followed the step of putting table and arc folder into the right folder
enabled game setting
when i start the game, it is still asking me to perform an update..
how do i perform a patching based on the file i have put in>?
You need to install the 1.2 update and then patch it with the English patchhello,

you mean using arc and table folder in luma->titles ->#serial - > romfsYou need to install the 1.2 update and then patch it with the English patch
Nah, just install the new update and add the patch files into your sd card as directed a page or two back. What do you do if you installed a pre-patched CIA?
Am I screwed?

i already placed the update there but couldn't install it.
Get the MHXX 1.2 .cia update file (google for this) and then install it with FBI, and then get the English patch from the first page here and put the arc and table folder in luma->titles ->#serial - > romfs. Remember to also enable game patching in luma's setting.Sorry guys i'm confused, how do I get the update when i'm using a Japanese cartridge on an EU custom firmware 3DS, and how do I then re-apply the English patch?

Nope, and there will be no way until Switch Homebrew has developed a fair bit. If you want to play in English, get it on the 3DS.I've bought Monster hunter XX switch version on Japanese store. I've installed it on microSD. Is it possible somehow to apply english translation on switch's SD card?
