I dont have lags in menu. Its slow when starting (Commands on bottom screen) and also when run games (commands on bottom screen).
Are you using official or nightlies? No matter which - try either another nighlies of the same version or try another official version I'd recommend. Otherwise I don't know how your problem can be solved...

After you've run the cia of PCSX, a folder has been created on the sd card called retroarch. You put the bios in retroarch-->cores--->system
As for the roms you can put them anywhere as you get to browse for them on your sd when you want to play one.

This may be true if you use Pcsx-rearmed as a stand-alone emulator with RGUI. If you're using multiple cores or 'XMB' you HAVE to copy over the 'retroarch' folder included in the download.
The included retroarch folder contains assets needed by the 'XMB' gui, BIOS requirements and CRC info for each core and .core files for retroarch to know which (cia) core to load.

Stole Kllr's formatting (unless this is the one you wanted? I went through the thread last night but can't remember now).

Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (USA):
-PCSX version 1.7.1 (latest stable)
-Disabled V-sync + Audio Sync, Frameskip set to "1".
-.bin/.cue
-"Unplayable" - Game actually runs really well at around 60-70fps (40fps during voiced scenes+video cutscenes), however I dropped it after the second enemy encounter. The character boxes and health displays are white boxes and you can't tell how much you're damaging a demon. If you don't care about that or small graphical glitches whenever you enter/exit an area, by all means give it a shot! But for an RPG with a ton of random encounters like this, I personally can't continue.

Castlevania Symphony of the Night (EUR) EBOOT.PBP:
-PCSX version 1.7.1 (latest stable)
-Disabled Audio Sync.
-.pbp
-Playable - Game actually runs really well at 60fps, no problem whatsoever, I was even able copy my savegame from PSVita and continue...

This is really great.

Isnt there a way to have shortcuts in homemenu for every game ? it will be more comfortable to just launch a game directly.

Thanks for the info! No, unfortunately nobody seems to have made a homemenu forwarder for PCSX. It's probably because of the poor performance of the emulator, making it not worth the time.

Btw how do you get it to run at 60fps? I've replicated what you've said but only get up to 45 fps...

I used pbp as well. I've tried about everything so I have no idea what's wrong. The rom itself perhaps? I haven't found an EUR pbp yet. Maybe I'll have to convert it myself.

dont worry about it. So it was bad ROM ? I converted mine yourself too iso-->eboot.pbp
Oh, that apology was directed at another fellow to which I claimed that SotN on 60 fps would be nearly impossible, about 10 days ago (if that´s what you are referring to).

I tried converting one myself and while it worked, I saw no improvement. I used PSX2PSP for converting my .bin and EUR rom which I found on "that cool site". No idea what´s wrong though. I´d really like to play SotN on the 3DS!

Can someone test Digimon Digital Card Battle? Honestly tempted to upgrade to a N3DS if the game plays well. Thanks
Just tried the game! It is playable, seen as this type of game doesn´t require full speed to be enjoyable. The fps varies depending on where you are in the game. It´s a bit tedious with the slowdowns though, so I don´t think it´s worth buying a new console or playing the game for that matter, when it plays like this. The fps ranges from 20-35 during gameplay, but it runs better than what the low fps makes it out to be. If you absolutely love the game and can overlook the slowndowns/ slower gameplay, then go for it.

Have you enabled l2 chache + 800mhz clock ? I set this in Luma configuration for everytime so maybe that's it ?

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
