:!:Games are tested on N3DS only:!:
did you change the CPU clock speeds with ntr boot? because sometimes that helps alot with SOME compatibility issues because a homebrew game called NEW sonic 2 port. which only has 1 level runs like crap till you change the clock speeds on it.

Did not know ntr could clock emulators. So I obviously haven't tried this.

Fair enough. Just so you know: Crash doesn't run very well. But if what you said about ntr clocking is true then it might work better at least.

Once you guys get Castlevania: Symphony of the Night working, Ill download this and test it.
We'll most likely never get SotN to run at a good fps...

EDIT: Realized what I said is not true. It can run at ~50 fps or if you're "lucky" you can play it at full speed at ~60 fps.

Yes, but I've found it very playable at the FPS the N3DS can provide with optimal settings.

Other games like Mechwarrior 2 run really well.
I've used every measure to improve the fps I believe, but it's still too slow for SotN to be fun. Since it's not an rpg you'd want maximum fps or it just won't be enjoyable.

Is possible that game with bios runs worse ?
I want to play Heart of darkness and it's not playable, in compatibility doc here it says runs ok.

The reason why it doesn't work would probably be that either your bios or rom is faulty or that you're using a broken version of PCSX. Can you play other games for example? Some versions of PCSX are not working properly. Those stated in the compatibility list shouldn't be broken.

it was my bad I used latest nightly and it has some problems. Today downloaded latest stable and it works great.
Except it starts (Retroarch itself) very slow, then in menu must go to load content and i go to folder with my eboot and again slow loading.
Second problem- it freeze when I scan that file.

My quesiton is - isnt possible to have shortcut or whatever to quick launch my game (i currently running only that one)

That might have be because of your menu driver. Choose rgui and maybe the lag will dissappear.
Main menuSettingsDriverMenu driver

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
