You have to off video sync and audio sync, also you have to try to modify game options and set frame skip to 1
Also use a eboot.pbp of the game, eboots run better than bin/cue files
Okay thanks! So if I can find a eboot.php of a game - will that result in higher fps than a bin/ cue?

In general, yes, eboots run faster, and you can convert your bin games with PSX2PSP. Also try different configurations per game. (I always recommend you turn off video sync and audio sync, also disable dithering on game options.)

Start any psx games, go to quick menu, then options, then you will see the dithering option, turn it off

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also go to Settings, then to driver and set audio resampler driver to nearest

Already did the latter. But there isn't anything called dithering. Might it be referred to as something else as well? And yes, I looked after it at the correct location.

Couldn't get it to any higher than 40 fps so it's still deemed unplayable by me.

The Version from 2015 was not bad.
Were able to run FFVII at a decent speed.

Is there a way to run PSX Games on 11.6 with Luma3DS and B9S?

Had no luck to get that to work again for a long time.

Erm I use a nightly from mars because in some older threads they said it was the last functioning one. I tried the latest nightly four days ago - I might be imagining things - but it ran marginally worse. Can't confirm that though.

That might be because of my older version of PCSX perhaps. I'll update now.

Well, now try frame skip on 2 and see how it work. I recomend you to toy with the configurations until you see a result that let you play the games you have at decently speed

Well, I don´t now about you, but personally I don´t think I can handle a game with too many fram skips... But I might still test it!

I think the same, to many frameskip is as bad as low frameskip but some games works fine with it, it was only a sugerence to see how it works

Hello.
I'm looking for good and playable (~60 fps) PS1 games, from any genre. Please help expand the list by stating a title and it's playablility (fps) by mentioning them below.
Only games tested on N3DS will be counted!

*Certain configurations might be needed to make the games run well*
Alundra
Chippoke Ralph no Daibouken - The Adventure of Little Ralph
Final Fantasy IX

Final Fantasy VII
Heart of Darkness
Metal Slug X
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus
Rival Schools: United By Fate

Semi-playable equals games playable by those who don't mind some lag.
Crash Bandicoot
Croc: Legend of the Gobbos
Einhander
Intelligent Qube/ Kurushi
Silhouette Mirage

Ape Escape
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Chrono Cross
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Medal of Honor
Mega Man X5
Metal Gear Solid

Silent Hill
Spyro the Dragon
Tenchu: Stealth Assassins

Tomba!/ Tombi!
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2

Disclaimer: categorizing the games based on fps might be a bit missleading as "Chippoke Ralph no Daibouken - The Adventure of Little Ralph", as an example, runs without lag at 40 fps and GLORIOUSLY at 50-60 fps with perfect sound. RPGs for an example can also be playable with 40 fps. This might mean that they'll end up in "Playable" albeit their low fps.

If there's any miss-information. Please point it out!
This is a great way for people to share what works or doesn't, might be worth taking this and changing it to a Google docs spreadsheet though so others can contribute
