Gaming Nintendo gives away theme for 2DS/3DS owners

That Twitter link doesn't say anything about whether they're free or paid, but if they're paid then no thanks. Paying like £1.75 for a theme is absurd, I'd rather put that towards an actual game.

So sad to see that the Nintendo fanbase has started to suck this shit up and paying for it.

Nintendo sent me another code like ffs, for the Super Smash Bros. 3DS demo they sent me ZERO and then for this crap they spam me with it. *sigh*

This cat theme is WEAK. Someone at Nintendo knocked it up in 5mins? If you have a grid layout you don't even see the eyes.. so it doesnt look like a cat at all... but the main problem is just that its weak.

Maybe part of the issue is that its a design to delight a 9yr old girl, whereas I am a 33yr old man.

I suppose these paid themes will get warez'd up at some point...

I think I saw something about the Pumpkin one a while back, but nothing else. My bet is we'll get gypped and end up getting something worse than all of the one's shown here.

I'd be all for these if they gave them out in exchange for Coins/Stars on Club Nintendo. I have coins languishing but there's nothing of interest on the U.S. site.

No Nintnedo I don't want to play the same games I already own for NES/SNES on a WiiU I don't own. Nor am I interested in Gameboy games I also already have.

That would be too consumer friendly and unprofitable. Nintendo is well known for making solid products, outside of a few exceptions. They're not really known for being consumer friendly beyond affordable consoles/handhelds.

I hope the US gets something decent. It seems pointless to have different ones for each region. I have to wonder what the reasoning is behind that.
