with nesds ex out, goodnes has been updated, etc... i was wondering if anyone wanted to revisit this listing with a full set of testing?

its a long project to undertake but perhaps a team could be created to tackle it over a few month period. i think an updated list for the updated emu would benefit the community.

nesDS 0.40b is out (EX/ORG seems to be 'dropped' and fixes merged back into the original build).

Also I think it might be better as a Wiki where users can edit/update it as they have the time. And I think different versions of the same game should be ignored unless you can do 'folding' entries, example:
Code:
ÂÂÂÂGame NameÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ StatusÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂNotes
ÂÂÂÂAdventures of Lolo (J)ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂUNPLAYABLEÂÂÂÂÂÂgfx glitch on level 1, can't be played
[+] Adventures of Lolo (U)ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂUNPLAYABLEÂÂÂÂÂÂLoads Fine, main sprite trapped in wall
Code:
ÂÂÂÂGame NameÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ StatusÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂNotes
ÂÂÂÂAdventures of Lolo (J)ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂUNPLAYABLEÂÂÂÂÂÂgfx glitch on level 1, can't be played
[-] Adventures of Lolo (U)ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂUNPLAYABLEÂÂÂÂÂÂloads fine, main sprite trapped in wall on level 1, can't be played
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂAdventures of Lolo 2 (U) [b1]ÂÂ UNPLAYABLEÂÂÂÂÂÂloads fine, main sprite trapped in wall on level 1, can't be played
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂAdventures of Lolo 2 (U) [b2]ÂÂ UNPLAYABLEÂÂÂÂÂÂgfx glitch on load, can't be played
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂAdventures of Lolo 2 (U) [b3]ÂÂ UNPLAYABLEÂÂÂÂÂÂloads fine, main sprite trapped in wall on level 1, can't be played
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂAdventures of Lolo 2 (U) [o1]ÂÂ UNPLAYABLEÂÂÂÂÂÂloads fine, main sprite trapped in wall on level 1, can't be played
(Though from what I hear, Adventures of Lolo 2 is fixed now...)

Wow, Another World. Didn't know you had 703 NES cartridges.
Pretty sure it's just a list of NES roms that have been tested on nesDS.

Are you serious? A fine man such as Another World does not stoop down to piracy (which the temp frowns upon). He simply bought a NES-to-PC dumper and dumped all 703 of his games

as for the actual testing, I don't believe any games have been broken from earlier nesds builds besides punchout's GFX (fixed in one unofficial NESDS), but some still don't work.

Just to add something in, Namco Star Wars (J) runs perfectly, and this is the first version of NESDS anything to do it.

Since when did the 'Temp frown upon piracy? GBAtemp has always allowed free discussion about piracy and pirated games.
If the 'Temp really frowned upon piracy, the various scene release sections wouldn't even be there. How would it make sense to frontpage pirated releases if it was frowned upon?

People get the wrong idea from the rules. The reason that GBAtemp doesn't allow ROMs/ISOs/WADs to be posted is to avoid legal troubles. FYI, GBAtemp used to be a ROM site itself, until they decided to cover themselves. In fact, if you dissect the name of the site, you get 'GBA' and 'temp'. 'Game Boy Advance' and 'temporary'. Why? Because the site used to host the newest GBA ROMS temporarily. I think I recall reading something about GBAtemp having to constantly switch hosts because of the ROMs.

Yeah, I'm done here.

Most of the pirated ROMs do not work on nesDS, not even the new version (with pirated I mean the 100-in-1 carts and the carts with ROM hacks in it etc.).

@Xdqwerty, People who create revival services for the Wii end up in disaster, same goes for Pretendo lol.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon

Too bad Excite Truck wasn't multi player :(
