The Nintendo 3DS remake of the GameBoy Metroid game, Metroid: Samus Returns, was given a trailer at this year's Gamescom. It also mentions the "Fusion Mode", which is unlocked via amiibo, though it's still not clear what new features this will add. The game is still scheduled for launch next month, on September 15, 2017.

This looks bad, especially up next to AM2R. I guess why Nintendo nuked it.

As to everyone complaining about the Amiibo stuff. Think of it this way, you can buy a 70 dollar N^2 and get 2 to 3 dozens worth of games DLC. I think thats a pretty good price. As to people worrying about how to find tags, NFC銀行, you can figure that out.

That's how I felt when this game was first announced, I felt they got the idea of remaking metriod 2 after seeing the fan made version.

The fucking problem with Amiibos is when Nintendo never makes enough and scalpers take over! Last time a Link Amiibo to use in BOTW went for 300$ and you couldn't find it anywhere.
If Amiibos where abundant and at the retail price of 12-14$ I wouldn't mind as much, but this pisses me off.

Also is the 15 Sept release World Wide? I'm only interested in the Japanese version...
