I dont know how accurate the serial # trick is, and i dont know how accurate this is... BUT

i bought a wii last week from Toys-R-Us and noticed that the wiimote is now in the same part of the box as the console itself (theres parts 1 and 2, normally they are in seperate parts)

I opened it all up excited to mod it, and the legs were cut. I talked to my supplier online who has an old batch of UNCUT and a NEW BATCH he just got it...

The old uncut batch has the wiimotes in a DIFFERENT section, while the NEW ONES (that are most likely cut) have the wiimote in WITH the console itself.

Can anyone with a uncut and also a cut one tell me how yours was to help confirm this?

If this has been mentioned, i apologize

A friend of mine bought a PAL-Wii last saturday, and the controller and console where in the same section. Also, the version of Wii sports that came with it, was in a cardboard box instead of the regular wii dvd-box.
No idea about the serial number though.

guess what, the legs were cut
