Little bug:
When installing uneek+di using switch 2 uneek for the first time ModMii does not copy the files nandpath.txt and nandslot.bin in the usb drive...

it works just fine

when building an emulated nand, ModMii first runs and grabs all the files to be installed to the emulated nand, and after running showmiiwads and creating the emulated nand, it will run through a 2nd queue of downloads that are not installed to the emulated nand but instead support s/uneek in other ways (like the switch2uneek files, or jowflow, priiloader hacks, etc).

Yes, but who want to install switch2uneek must download it from the net and copy the files nandpath.txt and nandslot.bin in the root of the USB drive...

no, that's not how it works. Start ModMii, enter "S", then "3", then when it asks if u want to use switch2uneek say yes, then ModMii will build uneek and your emulated nand for you, and all the files you are asking about will be there.

If you want to build switch2uneek manually using the method you stated above, go right ahead.

Sorry but the problem is still here...

1- Launch ModMii
2- Enter S
3- Enter 3
4- Enter Y at the switch2uneek question
5- Wait for finish
6- Press a key to return to the main menu
7- Enter E to exit
8- Go to my HD Drive
9- See that nandpath.txt and nandslot.bin aren't here
10- Ask in this thread
11- Wait until the issue is fixed

i have tried with modmii 4.6.0
main menu :S than 3
uneek+di . firmware 4.3 e with cios 249v14 and switchtouneek
all files have been downloaded.
In my folder "copy to usb" have : nandpatch.txt and nandslot.bin

so i think this is not an issue but probably only your copy of modmii has some problems.

have you tried with a new copy of modmii?

How is it that so many people always skip that step? It's not like it's hard. Just enable them both with A and save.
Wait so what exactly am I disabling/enabling?

Hi,

I am baffled, and would appreciate some assistance to install the hack.

I have a modded wii, older 3.0 version, but need to updte the mod as the wii internal drive won't play new games like wii fit without wanting me to perform an update.

I have d/l all the files from here to do the modmi hack.

I got a new 2gb sd card, formatted to FAT32 and transferred the whole copy to SD data on to that card

Put it in sd slot, and nothing shows up.

Remove it, and install the existing older sd card in it, that shows up..checked some photos on another card, that worked too.

Reformatted the sd card again, inserted, still nothing seen.

Hmm..I dropped a jpeg picture onto the same card, dropped it back in the wii, and it see's the photo easily....nothing else still shows up on the wii

Can someone help me...PLEASE...many thanks

If you want to mod your Wii without an exploitable game, you need to update to any System Menu from 3.2 to 4.2. Don't do an online update, since that will update to 4.3 and you will have fewer options.

I have a wii that is soft modded
Need to update firmware for new discs
Advise to do the 3.x to 4.1 as per the first page of this thread.
Downloaded all informayion following the guide
Created a copy to sd pal file on my pc, ready to go
Bought a 2gb sd card
Formatted to FAT32
Picked up the file from my pc, dropped all contents to sd card
Inserted the card into wii, and it don't recognise anything on it
Put card back in pc, add a jpeg in amaongst all existing copy to sd pal file, put it back it wii
Wii still cannot see files, when look in sd management area, all icons greyed out again. But in photo viewer, I can now view the jpeg, but nothing else.
The old card from previous saves in the wii shows up in sd menu, so does a card I have with photos on it.The new prepared file/sd card unseen.

Should I start again at the start of the tutorial, have a blamk sd card in the pc, and directly save the whole lot to the sd card staright off, rather than to the pc, and do it that way...IS THAT MY ERROR ???

Thanks for the assist.

ermmm.... does anything show in the HBC?

if your wii is already softmodded, you should already have the HBC....

it sounds like you're looking in the Wii Options -> Data Management -> SD card area...where one would go to use BannerBomb v1 and install HBC....

one more question: on your SD card...did you drag/drop the folder 'COPY_TO_SD'...or did you open the file and drag/drop the contents....? the quoted line could go both ways....it's the contents you want in the root of the card...

Hi,

Success...thanks.
Last bit of advice please..this is the last bit of the tutorial..
7) AFTER MODDING
=============
After you are done modding your Wii, you can optionally delete any unnecesarry files
by using ModMii's "File Cleanup" Feature.
If you choose not to use the File Cleanup feature, in order to avoid having your Wii freeze when accessing the SD Card Menu, you should delete the 'aktn' folder where bannerbomb is saved (SD:\private\wii\title\aktn), or rename the entire 'private' folder.

Is this done with the card in the wii, or do I remove it and do it on the pc?

Thanks
