3DS 11.4 Firmware Update Available

0hnqi7q.png

Just today, Nintendo 3DS firmware 11.4.0-37 has been released. I saw no other posts on this so far, so I am posting it. Here is what I found so far has been either temporarily or permanently broken/patched.

BootNTR Selector: Working with latest version (2.7.3)

UDSploit: Patched

Soundhax: Patched (Finally Nintendo... Lmao)

Safehax: Doesn't work without UDSploit, so therefore broken.

11.4.0-37 fixes the slowdown bug for some games like OOT3D that 11.3.0-36 has introduced. Confirmed by @Feffe

Please let me know if anything else got patched. Yes, of course, if you have A9LH+Luma3DS, you can safely update.

unless you want to play some games like OOT3D that had some slowdowns introduced in 11.3
That was actually fixed in the latest Luma3DS nightly and Corbenik nightly fixed (IIRC)

Unless you always play Pokemon shuffle and there are check in bonus, on the online competition is the same thing is just a burden to always launch ctr-httpw in every reboot
CFWs patch that by default (IIRC)

I could always be wrong, sometimes I misunderstand patch notes

It always ask me for an update on 11.3 even with the latest commit of luma3ds, sometimes I play Nintendo badge arcade so there is a reason to update on the latest firmware, it doesn't bother me to update anyway

I guess I was wrong, fair enough.

memchunkhax2 was an arm11 exploit that allowed to downgrade.
Also AFAIK system updates are like legit cias.
You could downgrade with memchunkhax2 and other arm11 kexploits back then because that was prior to when nintendo implemented hardcoded system titles you couldn't go below. (First implemented in 11.0)

Edit: Looks like safehax (arm9) exploit got updated to 11.3, downgrades for everyone. :toot:
