That's because it might not be possible.
I managed to get Gameboy games to work with a palette, which came close to Super Gameboy on the SNES but i believe the original borders were never emulated.
Okay, I guess I'm fine with the palettes, even though some games added stuff like better sound and multiplayer. Do you remember how to get the palettes? I tried messing around with the ones available but they are very limited, even the so called "special" palettes.

This is what i got from a helpful member here:

Use Gambatte.
Quick Menu —> Options —> GB Colorization —> "auto"
If you want to use a specific palette, set colorization to "internal" and change "Internal Palette" to the one you like the most

so do I put /bin/mame2003 or /bin/fba or /bin/cps2 ? How do I know which to use ?
mame2003 for mame roms, fba/cps2 for neogeo games. There are sites with compatibility lists.
I deleted all the GB and GBC games from my NES Mini because it looked like crap on a 48inch television.
In Settings and Video you can set aspect ratio to 'custom' and then change screen's size (I use x4 for game boy)

And what did it look like on a 48inch screen ?
I actually tried that but it didn't got better, which is understandable because the original resolution is very low.

Using hakchi 2.15 will improve save states of SNES? What will happen to the current save states?

For me is acceptale 4 x 4, from a decent distance from the screen (thanks to an extended cord)

Best way to get people's help? Be aggressive! I on the other hand, have been asking if there's a way to emulate Super Game Boy and no one has answered me yet.

Actually I've been using snes2010 from the start.

If I update the snes2010, can it cause any problem to my current save states?

edit: ok I'm confused, I'll double check later if I'm using 2005 or 2010 but I'm sure there 2 snes mods there and I use the later one.

Probably yes because the saves are different now, but I don't know for sure (I use 2005)

Guess I'll just have to figure it out on my own, since my question hasn't been really answered...Is there anyone here that CAN answer my question ?
It honestly varies by game and the core. Some games can use either fba or mame. When you get your rom you will see if it's mame or cps2 or neo. All neo geo games require the neo geo bios. Which you can find if you search for it. When you upload a snes game it would show bin/snes for example so you don't change anything. If you load a mame game or neo game or cps2 game it uploads as a zip so it says bin/zip. Then you replace that with either fba or mame2003 or cps2. Sometime I load the game with one core and it don't work so it switch it to other core and it does work. Just depends.

Okay so long time lurker but finally had my first issue since using 2.13. Wanted to share it so here is my issue/story.

I updated to 2.15 because I want to be able to play Secret of Mana 3. After I did the update and put Snes2010 on the system I was able to play it. Yay!!! ...... however none of my other snes games with save states from 2005 would load their old saves. What to do? I figured Id add Snes2005 back in the User Mods for 2.15. Did that and then I adjusted the command line on the games with the 2005 save states to load using it now instead of 2010.

So I put the system back on to see how things turned out and none of those Snes2005 games would load at all!! So then I decide, forget it, not worth it. I put the command lines back to SNES the way they were, uninstall 2010 on Hakchi 2.15 and leave snes2005 as my SNES emulator. I put the system on and now NO snes games work at all. This time I say to myself things are getting ridiculous and Im done. So open 2.15, uninstall everything from it, open 2.14b, flash custom, reinstall all my user mods, and check how the system is at this point. Now everything works (plus save states are back) however now if I open a SNES or Genesis game and then exit out immediately, I do NOT get the save state icon. I have to actually stay in the game for at least 5 seconds (5 Mississippi counts, lol). So my questions:

What do you guys think happened?
Does anyone have advice for how to get 2005 and 2010 to work nicely together?
Did the SNES and Genesis games ALWAYS have a 5 second wait before quitting and I just never knew it?

I just hope I didnt permanently set my Mini on course for breaking....

Sounds like you have corrupted save states on it. I would do a factory reset from within the nes menu.

Hey all,

I need someone who understands the filesystem on these really well.

I have removed the flash chip and installed a carrier that allows me to swap out the flash memory chips. The original chip runs great but when I put the new chip in (Same die, manufacturer pinout etc) I cant get hackchi to see it when its uploading games. It can flash the kernels, install mods, but can't upload games and When I install the original image it wont power on when connected to the tv. So I am halfway there but I think I need to flash something that hackchi doesn't do onto the chip.

Any guidance on this would be amazing.

Thanks guys.

I considered that but every save state works fine. And every game loads too.

The issue is that I have exactly five seconds after starting a SNES or Genesis game before I can quit out and have a save state available. It's not the end of the world of course, as I still have existing save states and can still make them, but I figured I'd mention it since it's such a bizarre development. Once I beat the three main SNES games I've been working on I think I will do a factory reset and then start with 2.15 with snes 2010 from the beginning.

You should try the uninstall function from within hackchi and then install it all from scratch. It wont delete your save states.

I have not soldered it. But honeylab, try to ask him.
Yes, kernel modification required too. You can read honeylab's blog about it.

.

I have successfully swapped out the flash chip. Do you have any advice on loading the image properly onto it? I cant get Hackchi to load games. It can't "see" the nes even though the driver is showing its attached and ready. The LED doesnt turn on either.

It does allow me to flash the images and install mods.

If you dont have any ideas how do I get a hold of honeylab?

Edit: I have figured out that I am stuck in FEL on the new chip. I am going to try and load 1.5 GB of games and see if it complains but if you have any tricks to get it out of FEL please let me know.

You said you uninstalled them but did you uninstall hackchi from the kernel drop down menu or from the modules menu. I meant the one under the kernel menu.

If anyone has been stuck in FEL mode before please give me some advice on getting out of it. The new chip I am trying to load makes the system stay in FEL only.

Thanks guys!

Edit: If I try to dump the kernel with the new chip installed it gives me an error:

Invalid Kernel Header

I know this isn't standard issues because I am trying to swap the chip to a larger one but I appreciate any help here to figure this out.
