My thoughts exactly...
Most of us know bettter , I always look at file sizes before downloading something but it easly could fooled someone new to the scene or some young kids which was prob the target audience seeing as it was a lego harry potter game.......well anyway hopefully he learned his lesson and focuses his time on more productive creations to the vita community

I'm not gonna say there is our isn't more than one source, but Team Freek is the only source that has provided something that can be actually considered proof.

Not ripping on the guys that did the Odin Sphere or Xandu leaks and I'm not definitively discrediting them, but I have not seen any actual semblance of proof from them yet. No one seems to be able to definitively say (even with this) that it's legit but it absolutely seems it with Wololo backing it.

I wasn't referring to them, there are several other verified sources with more than one method of doing this.

This is basically just Major_Tom's method, simplified, made mainstream, and taken to another level of ease. (Obviously with more going on in the background with plugins etc)

But Major_Tom's method doesn't decrypt and rebuild eboots to work immediately on any Vita...
That's why I said basically. The process still goes exactly the same way, just with the added bonus of having a proper decrypted eboot. We've had decrypted data files of games floating around for awhile, but the eboot never was.

Well, I don't think it 'exactly decrypted' the eboot.bin.
Here is what I think this tool does at all:
  1. First you go and search for your game files in vitashell and try to open a file (random or not, and why, I'm still trying to figure it out)
  2. Once you get the error from opening that file, you change the app to the Vitamin and the game of that file you just tried to open will be there (it sounds like when you try to open that file you open some door to starting bypass something in somewhere)
  3. When you then select the game you want to dump/decrypt, the Vitamin app will launch the game and then put it in the background processing (THAT IS WHERE I BELIEVE THE MAGIC IS. Cos if you get the console running the game and still have access to the files, it means you have all the files in plain text in your own hands cos it is running and that means it is passing through the RAM and the console itself is handling the DRM)
  4. When you get the game running in background you go back to vitamin app and start copying the files from RAM or other partition without the protection.
The good point at this tool is you only need to point and click. Imagine doing all the work it does manually (NOT SO DAMN HARD) but painful.
Regards.
