^ is dios mios ever gonna fix the sleep mode problem?

In another note I'm still having trouble getting Kao The Kangaroo to work, anyone has the game can confirm if it works or not?

DM read anything the loader send to it.

Most loaders read only "game.iso", but USB loader GX read these filenames:
game.iso
game.gcm
ID6.iso (for example GMSP01.iso)
ID6.gcm

but if you switch loaders often, just rename the file to "game.iso" to be sure it's working in all loaders.
I was gonna ask you Cyan, are there any plans to fix the issue in USB-Loader GX where when you have a two disk game like "Resident Evil: Code Veronica" on the same SD/USB and load one it will always load the file it finds first? Like if I choose disk 1 some games would load disk 1 always and other games would load disk 2 always, are there any plans to fix that?

On another suggestion, do you think it's possible to add an option to choose a .dol file from the GC game? I still believe this may fix the problem with Sonic Gems Collection!

I can confirm that it does work if you use GCReEx to manually replace main.dol for the game you want to play.
Except Sonic CD hangs at loading screen.

//Albeit I should state that Sonic the Fighters for example needs something from the actual game, because some things are in corrupted text, like the pause menu. Same goes for Sonic R.

Whoa seriously? O.O how to do so?

Also what is that SMB3 Wii game in your signature? :O

Yes, it's planed.
I started working on Disc1/Disc2 detection, and that's when my computer crashed.
I still haven't resumed the loader's development (I'm still backing all my data to an external hdd, then I'll replace internal hdd, then put back everything on the new hdd! it's a long process).

I'll make it so that two discs games only show one title listed.
If you select devolution mode, it will launch disc1, if it's DM(L) it will ask which disc you want to boot.

I didn't know GC discs had multiple dol.
I don't think there's a way to load an alternative dol from the iso, as the loader is sending only the path to the iso to DM(L).
You need to extract and replace the file manually like SuperrSonic said.

So, no new updates since last month, right?
nope, not that I know of.

I asked him on twitter, and at least it seems he's keeping it alive, albeit he did'nt say anything else:

Flávio Neto@flaviocfneto
@crediar So, I hope this isn't a touchy subject, but, will there be any more DM(L) versions or is it dead?

That's sounds great! Hope you get your system up and running soon :D

Crediar released a tool today (Google code download section) that apparently collects DiscEx and GCReEx under one GUI.
Unfortunately, the computer I use to do my Wii stuff is Win XP and the tool appears to be a 64-bit application. I'll have to check it when I finally migrate that PC to Win 7.

Oh sorry to hear that man, been there, I just finished backing up my HDD very recently and it's been for several months now, take your time no need to rush, just wanted to know if the issue was addressed not trying to demand it being fixed!

Hey I love this idea, it's much better than DML Booter in my opinion, now if only I find a way to get Phantasy Star Online to work on GX I won't need DML Booter anymore!

II didn't know GC discs had multiple dol.

Yes some games do, I was thinking to try it out with Sonic Gems Collection a while ago, glad SuperrSonic confirmed it works "sorta" I will give it a try when I got time!

I just wanna point out that SuperrSonic's suggestion does work, just replace main.dol from the sys folder in Sonic Gems Collection with the .dol file for either Sonic R or Sonic The Fighters and run the game from any loader of your desire "tested with USB Loader GX and DML Booter" and you'll get that game!

Only the "added" text will be messed up but the original text "options, menu, etc" will appear normally and the games will run fine!

You can also convert the game to GCReEx format then delete all the unnecessary folders, i.e. if you only want SOnic R just keep the folder with the name "sonicr" and place the related .dol file in the correct place and the game should work fine and still save the space!

I've searched through the thread (and the rest of the forum) for information related to my problem, without success. I've already posted my problem on Ask GBAtemp, but thought I should bring it up here too, since I'm not sure whether it's CFG USB Loader's fault, DIOS MIOS', or mine.

Hello all !
I don't know if the DM(L) developpers read this post, but i wanted to know, since they have released a tool which allow to convert .gci savegames to NMM savegames, is there way to do the opposite ? NMM saves to .gci saves that could be transferred to a memcard ?

Thanks !

Do tell me that you reformatted it from the factory default NTFS to FAT32 with 32KB sectors.
My apologies if that was too obvious.

FAT32 with 32KB sectors, yes it is. But like I said, it looks like it has difficulty to stay connected when i open an App on homebrew channel, (no problem with channel btw) And also, APT (sleep mode) set on never.

Probably the same issue I had with my Toshiba 500GB HDD, it seems to be not compatible with Dios Mios, this doesn't mean your Wii is at fault or you installed it wrong, only that Dios Mios is a spoiled tool that needs specific brands to work with!

I bought the exact same drive you have, just to help you out. I've installed and tested a couple of Wii disc backups through USB Loader GX, as well as emunand channels and all worked fine. I then installed two GCN games and launched them through DIOSMIOS and they worked fine too, so no problems. Of course, I'm joking about buying it just to help you, but I happened to pick one up today from Target on clearance (this feminine looking one right here), so I figured I might give you some feedback. I did not mess around with firmware, sleep parameters, etc.

Now, did you make sure to install DiosMios, rather than DiosMiosLite? I'm using v2.2, like most here. I'm not trying to underestimate you but this is a common oversight. It seems the drive itself might not be at fault. I will try to help you figure it out, if I can.

Its a portable one, cause my friend has the same drive but an external one (3,5", so with ac adapter) and it work well. But my girlfriend's one is a 2'5po , so everything in the wii works well, but not in the hard drive. I see your one has Wired Connectivity: USB 2.0, mine is 3.0, and i think it could be the problem.
