Yeah, somebody else likes the fucking Wii. I am not alone in this forum for God's sake.

Again, I would recommend a Switch (but I already give my reasons in many posts before)

What? I didnt know people dont like Wii arround here. I mean im sure that nostalgia is a big factor here cause i bought it when i was young but i still play it and have a lot of fun. Brawl, Metroid Corruption, Metroid trilogy, Galaxy 1-2 and a long etc. Wii was fuckin awesome man..... even Wii Sport was fun.

If you have Wii U you have VWii GameCube and Wii U compatibility. If you think about it, finishing all the Wii U's titles that you like and saving money could lead to you getting the switch a year later, and you won't have to wait for anygames.

Buy a hot new console or its predecessor that has been dead for 2 years? I think the decision is obvious, go with the Wii U.

I mean this is something i would like to clarify. What you guys mean by dead? No more love from Ninty? Regular Wii is dead then but is still pretty good. Im talking about the console as a whole.

The regular Wii is dead, but it has an extensive and pretty good library.
The Wii U is dead, as in it has been discontinued, there are not many games for it and Nintendo said Zelda is their last game for it, so it will not get more support.

Of course, if you have a Wii U you have access to the Wii and GC library. But if you already have a Wii then that isn't a plus.

If he sells the Wii for $50 and backs up all his games he can sell the games individually for $20 each and start saving for the switch

So you mean getting a Wii U, selling my Wii (I have no games, is a hacked Wii) and save for a Switch. Is not a bad idea but then the trade would be Wii for Wii U and im not sure if the Wii U is better.

Wii + Switch (Now) / Wii U + Switch (In a couple of months)?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Perhaps, I am from a culture where you don't sell your consoles. They die with you. /s

Well i had a N64, SNES, Game Cube, PS4.... But they all die at some point right? Maybe i should take care my consoles...

WiiU + Switch gives you pretty much access to the entire Nintendo home console catalog with the least amount of hardware with first party controllers to boot minus n64 (without adaptors) If the list of WiiU exclusives do not appeal skip straight to a switch and keep your Wii.

I got the switch and love it also been playing the new Splatoon 2 demo today. Also the switch is region free so if there is a game coming out like in the EU or Japan you just have to have your good to go with no hacking. (altho hacking it would be nice and something i will do down the road)

A Wii U allows you to play any NES, Super NES, and N64 game through inject, any Wii, GameCube and Wii U games, NDS, GBA, GBC,GB games and any eShop games

I enjoyed the Wii U,, but haven't played it in months. I actually disconnected and listed it for sale a couple of days ago. The 3DS will have the same fate after I finish a few more games. I plan to buy a Switch soon, but still working on completing the 3DS games.

I have turned it to a bit of a minimalist, so I tend to sell off things I do not use, such as old consoles.

Things are looking good for the Switch in future, but who knows? You're taking a gamble. I really doubt it's gonna get many games.

Wii U is good if you don't have a Wii or are very interested in its small library.

I wouldn't get either at the moment, to be honest.

Has OP made a decision yet?

Hi, no i havent. Im planning on buying it (Whatever i choose) in a couple weeks.

To be honest i just wanted to buy the Switch before this post, i was kinda blind with it, but people made some good cases, so im still undecisive.

I should write that in OP... Yes i have a Wii and a 3DS if that matters and like i said a couple times, i love my Wii, great console.

The Wii U is dead. I would get a nintendo switch at this point

Again, what is dead? Wii is dead, GameCube is dead, 64 is dead but they are super fun to play with.

Im 70% pro Switch right now, but i dont understand when people say that X console is dead.

What i want is to have something worth like my Wii or 64, that no matter if i use it in 10 years i still would have a lot of fun.

The switch is getting a lot of the games that the Wii U had. So there's no point

I know that the Switch doesnt have Youtube or Netflix etc but i just saw a video and they said that those would come to the Switch at some point.

Is that true? Have Nintendo said something about that?
