Use Wii U Gamepad on Switch?

This might be a stupid question, but I was wondering if you can somehow connect the Wii U Gamepad to the switch and use it as a controller. I don't need the touchscreen, just to use it as a regular controller. I love using the gamepad, it fits so we'll in my hands and I somehow like the motion control more.

Nope, as the Gamepad uses some proprietary WiFi Direct Based Protocol to my knowledge.
