Dont know if hakchi 1 and 2 working together?
Maybee flash Original kernel back with hakchi /hakchi2 (if you have original kernel), and try again with hakchi2. If you don't have original kernel, I suppose there will be some kind people , who can provide this. ;)
Hakchi 1, makes use of save gamefile, hackchi 2, does not, so I can imagine that could be trouble...

Hakchi 2 does not work on my PC (I have been in contact with Cluster about this and did some testing for him). So I am only using hakchi 1 to add games.
My initial problem is that I dumped the kernel, added games, and did another dump by mistake, overriding my original files.

I of course tried using an original kernel file, but this did not change anything: I still had the games I previously removed from both "nesromtool" and "mod" folders.
Either the games stay in the NES somehow, or there must be a file somewhere else which still contains the titles list.
What would help me is:
- how the updated kernel is packed
- where the files are being taken to be added (not just the rom files, but the game list and configs as well)
- how the new games are added to the NES menu

From this I'm quite sure I could manually remove what I don't want.

This brings one major question: instead of removing games, is it possible to completely reset the game list and remove all added games using hakchi 1 ? If not, can it be done manually ?
This way I can always upload a collection of working games.

Strange. Try to flash original kernel and custom again.

It will be system in temporary directory where custom kernel combined.

For immediately save - no. For exit to menu - maybe.

Seems like bad ROM.

Please read FAQ. It has answer when it's safe and when it's not.
Can you archive whole hakchi2 directory and send it to me?

It's not save if you really not flashed custom already. Can you just dump (it's safe) kernel and send "dump\kernel.img" to me?

You can find answer in FAQ. It's safe to do everything on another copy of hakchi2. And it's 99% safe to flash custom kernel and sync games in the same copy of application.

Seems like there is no way to patch it :(

Do you disabled driver signature verification? Try to do it first.

Seems like font problem. Disable extra font in settings.

Okay I tried to dump the kernel added the games and it worked!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!!

Those steps listed in that link for Mac seem very complicated from what I can see, LOL. Are there any plans for a Mac version of this program....one that doesn't require all of those steps.

@Cluster my audio delay is back now too when flashed with custom kernel. It disappeared when I first used the uninstall feature introduced in 2.08 but the audio delay bug came back after I added games a couple different times. Now nothing gets rid of it except flashing back to original kernel. Any ideas appreciated.

it's strange, because i've noticed a huge sound delay before hakchi appeared, with the original kernel...

(for example jump with megaman and see when the sound of touching ground is coming...)

About the Famicom Disk System game like Super Mario bro. 2, how can I Upload the game.
I download the game's rom, include 2 files:
Super Mario Bros. 2.fds
and
Disksys.rom

hakchi2 don't notice the mapper error, but after uploading to Mini FC(Japanese edition), this game didn't work.

@Cluster Please Help. Thank you.

Original picture size and resolution doesn't matter. If you check image resolutions in the games folder you'll find out that all the pictures have been converted to png format and resolution is as follows 140x204 box art and 28x40 thumbnails. Filesizes are also very small, roughly 70kb big ones and 4kb thumbnails...

I've compressed png box art images with www.tinypng.com, reducing their memory size up to 70%. However, I hardly install 80 ROMs. I think savestates and other stuff can interfere in memory alocation.

So, possibly the NES Mini internal memory reached it's limit.

I removed the original 30 games, and have loaded 135 roms with box arts, (no bottom thumbnails) and everything is working great, no c8 issues so far. The theory is the # of games is tied to the amount of art assets so ditching the small thumbnails at the bottom of the screen gives u room for more overall games, and ditching the original 30 and loading them as roms also gives u more overall space. I'm gonna keep adding roms until I max this thing out.... and leave a few save slots but not that many would rather have more games
