Hello,

I'm going to be performing the dsiware downgrade from a N3DS with CFW to another N3DS on stock 11.2

My question is, what is the best way to preserve the stock N3DS's saves so that they can be restored once the System Transfer is complete? If they even can?

I think you can us Save Manager to save the source 3ds saves, back them up on your PC just in case.

Sorry if I worded my message poorly. I mean the 3DS without any CFW, the target 3DS. What would be the best way to backup those savefiles if there is anyway?

Edit: Herp Derp. Realised all his saves would be cartridge based so no need to back them up, yet anyway.

Having a problem with FreeShop on my 3DS XL. When I open the app, it seems to initialise then rather than the FreeShop open up, it just goes to the 3DS XL home screen. Any help and advice on this will be much appreciated

The first screenshot tells you your error. You need an internet connection. Renable your internet, it's currently disabled. :/

I recently a9lh'd my o3ds and installed the latest LUMA cfw. I've followed everything as detailed in the guide. So currently a9lh + luma (sysnand)

I am looking to give it to someone, I'd like to know if he decides to format/factory reset via settings, could the console brick/lose a9lh, or will it reset as a normal console would.

I have, of course, made and kept all backups/files created and used during the a9lh installation on my hard disk and cloud. Also, I have specifically told my friend that the SD card must not be formatted without backing up all relevant files.

Also, I'd like to know, by what methods could a noob brick/uninstall a9lh accidentally? I recently came across a thread where someone deleted CTRNAND via FBI and hardbricked(?). Anything else I should watch out for?

Okay, so I did what you said, and downgraded from 11.2 to 2.1 and now the system won't even turn on. The backlight comes on but it's black and nothing happens and now I'm worried.

Hmm, I'm not sure why it wouldn't work. Old 3DS can use Luma on 2.1. Well you can do a 9.2 CTR transfer then update to get back to where you were. Sorry it didn't work :-(

Try deleting the home menu extdata and reboot.

Can .cia's be converted to roms and vice versa?

Roms can be converted to .cias, but I don't think .cias can be converted to roms. Converting a rom to a .cia strips all of its header data (.cias use the console's own header), so I don't think there's any way to convert it back to its original format.

Hey guys,
i bought me a new 2ds with MK7 pre-installed on it yesterday.
Unfortunately it has FW-Version 11.1.0 34E on it, so for CFW i either need to Hardmod the Console or perform a DSiWare Downgrade.
I could borrow a modded 3ds from a friend for a day, so i wanted to do a DSiWare Downgrade.
The questions i have now are:
1.: is the Downgrade method from the "3DS-guide"-page (with app-injection and second 3DS) still possible, or are all the exploitable games removed from the eshop?
2.: is it possible for me to keep/restore the preinstalled MarioKart7 game on my 2ds afterwards? (i have no NNID linked yet)
3.: can i restore the second 3DS (which i would borrow) so it as it was before within a day, or do i have to wait 7 days and then transfer my 2DS back on it?

I hope you understand my questions, i'm a noob on 3ds modding and signed me up here to ask these questions, because i couldn't find anything on the internet.

My problem is: I'd tried to play my retail cartridge of Pokémon AS with no success (got the "save is corrupted" message) probably because of my old sysNAND version (4.x). Can I just upload it with the retail cartridge itself?

all exploitable games have been removed from eshop, however if you have a source system with CFW already installed you can use other DSiware games.

yeps, you can post links to 3ds.guide

AFAIK only those 4 titles have been pulled. You can always check on your friends 3ds
