I bought a 64gb micro sd card upgrade for my 3ds and it's formatted but when I copy and paste from my old one to the new one, I get the blue light and nothing comes on screen. Also I have no emunand. I have everything copied over to the new one.

Okay, just so I don't get any steps wrong, do I start from step 2 of this guide and do step 3, and then upgrade to 11.2? Thanks for being so patient.

No ctr transfer. That's what is causing your 3DS to not read your Nintendo 3DS folder (this is my guess - I'm not 100% sure). Restore the 2.1 backup using Hourglass9. Then update from System Settings.

I am watching a video that shows that you have to remove the back on the new 3ds to remove the memory card. So I take it that the entire installation process for A9LH and Luma is done with the back off then?

It's recommended yes. Or you could use the microSD management app in system settings.

I have never owned a 3DS before, so all this is new for me. But will this suffice in making it possible to hack the N3DS? Or is Hardmod, 2nd Hacked 3DS, or (previously owned) DSiware routes still necessary? If so would the Oot + powersaves be a good choice to invest into?

Also, should is it possible to do MenuHax instead of Browserha with mentioned method? Also what about the Freakyhax?

You'll still need to downgrade the NATIVE_FIRM before you can downgrade to 9.2. That involves either a hardmod or DSiWare hax.
Menuhax interferes with some things, if it's a good idea to use it the guide will tell you to set it up.

What were you doing beforehand? Blue screens are usually bad. Unless you're doing a hardmod, then it might be normal.

I have a black friday n3ds which id like to install a cfw on. This is my very
first 3ds but i have done a lot of reading during the last days in order to
downgrade from 11.0.

Unfortunately, i do not personally own any of the pulled dsiware games that are required
for the downgrade. I do have a friend though who has Four Swords on a 3dsxl (not sure if
New) that has never been hacked.

So here are a few questions: Assuming that the 3ds XL is on the latest firmware, will a
system transfer "copy" the FW over to my 3ds in any way? If we try to transfer Four Swords
using httpwn will i be actually able to use it in order to complete the nfirm downgrade?
Finally, does it matter if the 3ds XL is a EU console?

Okay, so I did what you said, and downgraded from 11.2 to 2.1 and now the system won't even turn on. The backlight comes on but it's black and nothing happens and now I'm worried.

You can't do a system transfer with systems from different regions. If they are different regions, there's no point in answering your other questions.

If they are from the sams region, then a system transfer will not "copy" the firmware. If you manage to copy it over then you could do the NFIRM downgrade.
