I agree tho, that NL article does have a lot of people whining about how irresponsible smea is and how 'illegal' it is (he doesn't even support/enable piracy LOL.) For people to be able to take someone else's work and add onto it (i.e. what Smea did with the 3DS) despite many attempts on Nintendo's part to stop such activity, I think that's pretty admirable. Love the homebrew community for this reason. Plus it's amongst the only communities that provide out of passion rather than an incentive to make $$, so they usually cater to their fan base unlike many large corporations *cough cough* Nintendo *cough*

I feel like that was not long ago. Last year? You guys remember when they outed the inner workings of scientology and began huge protest movements. Or the time they rallied Wallstreet in support of the 99%. Of course not.

Honestly I just surf Tumblr, Youtube, Gbatemp and Starmen.net. I don't hear much about that stuff. From what I'm told, there's commonly more bad people than good on 4chan, so the good stuff gets swept under the rug.

Honestly I just surf Tumblr, Youtube, Gbatemp and Starmen.net. I don't hear much about that stuff. From what I'm told, there's commonly more bad people than good on 4chan, so the good stuff gets swept under the rug.

Yeah dude. They're basically different communities. /b/ is the one that hurts peoples feelings the most and the reason people get so butthurt or have a bias against anything 4chan. Not every section raids muh tumblr.

I know. I didn't mean to generalize 4chan too much. It's just all I hear about is /b/ lol. A lot of info actually comes out of 4chan tbh, I just don't pay attention to a lot of things other than where I roam.

Yeah, I think I've been on /b/ a total of like 4 times, but I browse /mu/ and /co/ (music & comics/cartoons) pretty frequently and while there are still some assholes, you definetly need a thick skin, it can be a really great place to discuss things you enjoy with like minded people.

P.S. They're called boards on 4chan.
