That's not what he meant to say.
It will definitely be open-source. The fact is that we are waiting to have something working before releasing everything, alongside the sources.
The 3DS client is on its way. Like I said, just a lot of code. I would say 20%, but that's surely not accurate since we are thinking about new functionalities everyday.

The code will be readable soon, hopefully ^^

That will be a CIA homebrew to install CIA homebrews It will maybe run 3dsx homebrews in the future but we are not planning on releasing a .3dsx file for CTRepo itself.

This is only CIA stuff.
This is made to give things that are not possible for now (CFW users/Gateway users to get homebrews easily and having custom repos to not be dependent of a different server).
There will never be any "competition" (I hate that word) since we don't provide the same thing.
