Whenever I convert a video, the two video streams won't merge. If I click side by side, then I get a side by side video on the 3DS. If I leave that unchecked, I get one video stream, but it's not in 3D. I have 3D-Video checked on both the SELECTED and DEFAULT boxes, if that makes a differences. Using 2.6.

Same results.

I really want to make it work but maybe there's something that I'm missing. I've tried all different versions of your files and I still get the same result...

The conversion part is FAST and that's what I like about but I can't make the 3D movies to convert correctly.

Here are the steps that I've been taking...

1. Drop the file to the window then under the "Selected" tab, I clicked 3D-Video.
2. Go to the "General" tab and clicked Side-by-Side
3. Convert

But the results are still side-by-side. I've tried with two different format of movies, one is MP4 and and other one is MKV. Both movies are full length movies and both arge side-by-side.
If I don't click on side-by-side under and only the 3D-Video then I still get a side-by-side version but with the right side being black.

I've been trying to do this for two days now so I figured I'll open an account and come on here and ask you guys. Thanks.

Sorry for the late replies but I've been busy with some other projects. Anyways here are some replies:

@aerosukku/Rat.2: Works fine for me on Windows 8 but I know that you can't Drag'n Drop Files from a Window that has no admin rights to another one that has admin rights. Check that neither the converter or Windows Explorer run as Admin. I'm not sure but you may have to turn User Access Control (UAC) off.

@Sym22: I may have messed up 3D-Converting again. 3D-Video Conversion had some bugs in most Versions, but still you could try a older version.

Currently I have no plans in Developing this Application any further, since I used it very rarely in the last time. I may make some bugfixes and release a proper final version, but I won't add anything new. If someone wants to continue this project and clean up my messy code feel free to do so and ask me questions if you have any. The sourcecode (C#/WPF) can be found on Github.

I've tried everything in getting my converted 3D movie files just to even show up on my micro sd card. I'm currently using an AK2 but it doesn't have the Nintendo update applied that makes it null for playing games. I've placed the converted files in different areas of the SD card. I've tried at the root. I've placed them specifically in the moonshell2 folder.

I've placed them in created folders(Media & Games) for specific file types. The AVI converted files will now show up after transferring to the card. My .dpg DS movie files work & show up just fine no matter where I place them on the card. Can anybody tell me what might be the causes of this problem? Is there a specific file path/structure needed on sd card for these converted 3DS movies? Thanks!

You must use the SD card of the 3ds, not the flashcard one.
From DS mode of 3ds you can't access to SD slot.

What do you mean by that? I have an sd card for my AK2. Are you saying an SD Card that comes with the 3DS? I don't even remember getting one coming with the purchase of my 3DS.

I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused here. I can access the sd card contents just fine from my AK2. Is there a setting(s) I need to change from the 3DS to allow this to happen? Like I said, all other files show up just fine from the micro SD card from my AK2. You're saying something needs to be changed from the 3DS in order to access 3D content from the card or is there a totally different sd card used for 3DS content usage? I'm just trying to make this clear! I'm not up-to-date much on the 3DS side of homebrew. Thanks!

on the left side of your 3DS, there is a slot fro a regular size SD card, there should be one in there that came with the 3DS.

Wow! I didn't even realize there was an SD Card already in the side slot. I've been using the micro sd card that came with my AK2 for playing everything. This micro sd card dates back to usage with the standard DS. Do I need to copy/place the same files I have on my current sd card over to the 3DS one?

Things like Moonshell2 for playing the 3DS movie files? Or, can I just place the converted movie files onto the 3DS card but still play the files with Moonshell from my current micro sd card? I hope that I made sense! Thanks for your help!

Nop, all related ds staff must be put in microSD in your AK2. Moonshell only play DPG videos, not avi in 3ds format. The converted 3d videos will be play with Nintendo 3DS camera program only, and the files must be copied in standard SD of 3ds in the folder locate in SD :/DCIM (100NIN03 in my case)

I knew about the standard sd stuff being used from the AK2. The problem was not knowing about using the 3DS camera program for playing these 3d movie files. Plus, not knowing about the sd card on the side slot. Do I need to format that sd card to get the file structure correct to place the 3ds movie files? Thanks again!

It isn't needed. Only copy the files in the folder i posted before.

Well, I done what you guys have suggested with no success. I placed a converted 3DS movie file(10:00) in length onto the standard SD Card from the side slot. The sd card wasn't formatted. I specifically placed the file in the path structure: SD :/DCIM/100NIN03/ MY AVI File(Named NIN_0301.AVI)

All 3D photos/videos that have been taken in the past are there on the sd card for viewing/playing. There is the other path structure on the card: SD /DCIM/101NIN03/. I even placed the converted file there as well. The converted 3DS movie file isn't showing up on the card for some reason. I'm using the 3DS camera to try & play this file but if it isn't showing up then it doesn't mater.

I notice that the 3D photos/videos are grouped by date & into sections with the latest ones showing up from the camera player first. Well, the converted 3DS movie file is the latest file added but still isn't there. Anymore suggestions guys? I don't need to remove my AK2 flashcart do I? Thanks!

Here is the directory structure and naming convention you must use:

I don't have any of those files created by the converter. The only file I have is the one mentioned above(NIN_0301.AVI). That's the file name created by the converter. Just one simple 10 minute AVI file. No other files. Maybe the settings from the converter possibly? I've tried so many of these 3DS converters. Is the converter program supposed to create all of those files/structures itself when converting?

I know all of the different ones I've tried hasn't had those files. This looks similar to file structure creation for other movie files like HD movies, MP4,etc.). Maybe I need to just start all over & use just this video converter here in this thread but I already have before.

I just checked my SD Card from PC & I don't see any file structure like the attachment photo you provided for any of the 3D video files already taken . Does it have to do with what type 3D converter program being used to create the 3DS videos? Thanks again!

You only have to look the folder structure. All theses files are my Tron Legacy conversion and a little preview of The Hobbit.
About the file you have, i think you must try rename it to NIN_0001.avi. BTW for some obscure reason some converted don't work at all.
When you open the Nintendo Camera app all the converted videos have the same date: 01-01-1900

I'll try to rename the file to your suggestion(NIN_0001.avi) & see what happens. I'll also try to convert another 3D movie over the weekend. Thanks for your help & I'll report back later! :)
