Yo Dawg...
pso_wii.jpg

we heard you like online games, so we put a gamecube modem in your wii's wifi. Works with custom DNS servers just like a real cube.

This will only be a temporary solution until I get time to tackle BBA emulation properly (since it's a lot easier to emulate a serial device than something with a whole bunch undocumented registers).

YES. I hope this'll get people playing PSO again since I'm sure quite a few people ditched their GCs and BBAs years ago, but never got rid of their copies of PSO. Thanks for the teaser!

I tried it even without the chip. (By removing it)
Were the games ripped using the latest version of CleanRip, without the modchip attached? If not, do that and try again.
Yes I tried this too - still dont work.
I suggest making your wii a virgin again and using modmii to do a proper and up to date softmod before re-ripping your games and validating them with the latest sample loader. or you know... buying another wii used.

It obviously wants more from your wii otherwise you wouldn't have these problems. defrag your hard drive or see if it is having issues with being accessed if you are using an SD card make sure it's a good brand.

Well that's a stupid suggestion. Virginizing is a great way to brick your Wii. Just running ModMii wouldn't hurt anything, as it would have the same end result. Worse case scenario is he has a few extra cIOS's, but that's not a problem.

All this talk about PSO makes me wish it was possible for the old Xbox version to work without XBL. It's the only version I have. :(

I DO have PSO III, but........ I hardly count that.

When I start a GameCube game I'm asked if I want to display the game in progressive mode. I tried r120 and I noticed that I no longer see this screen and everything is rendered interlaced. I'm pretty sure that on one of the previous releases I was able to select progressive mode. Has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks,
Amy

Hold B when starting. I don't know the specifics but the Wii doesn't always ask, sometimes it'll just assume.

If you say no once (or the system menu decides to reset the flag in the SRAM) it won't ask any more until you hold B again. The same goes for 60Hz mode for PAL games.
