So a year ago, I found an Xbox 360 in, among other things, a garbage bin. It works almost perfectly, minus the fact that it doesn't read any discs. And today, my friend donated his older brother's 360. And proceeded to tell me it has an RROD.
The 360 with the bad disc drive is an Xbox 360 Pro, but I don't know the model of the RROD 360, although I know it's not a newer one. I know they're not the same models because they accept different power plugs, so I want to know: What options do I have on a very small budget? Would I be able to graft parts of one 360 over to the other and have one of them work? As well, I don't want to have to do any flashing because I want to be able to use the Marketplace. Where should I start?
Okay. I was just doing some looking around. The RROD 360 is a launch model, which is a Xenon (Manufacture date is August 19, 2006, which is before the Zephyr), and the 360 with the bad drive is a Falcon (It has an HDMI port).
