why is this crap still up for discussion? if there is no proof, just leave it alone till something surfaces. we heard about this near the beginning of the month and nothing surfaced to assume fake and close thread. if proven real another can always be made :/

it is real.
But he never said it was a homebrew Channel.
He said that he changed the heade of the system app to display another name.
So its legit.

Anyways looking closely at the picture, and I mean down to the pixels, it's obvious that the picture itself was not tampered with. I'm not a coder by any sense of the word, so I'm curious, would this help in making a homebrew channel, or a working card?

at first i took it seriously then i looked at his album and saw this

claiming he deleted the icons on the menu and stuff ( he didn't say it directly, but what he wrote is intentionally misleading )
and in the homebrew channel one he asks photoshopped or real, which leads me to think it's probably shopped



also a lot of people are saying he's a great hacker and stuff but come on

he could at least have moved the icons instead of going to the end of the menu and taken a pic upside down

as much as i'm hoping for the 3ds to get hacked, I guess i don't see it happening any time soon

He's probably the first person who successfuly wired up the 3DS RAM to a separate PCB and has the capacity to read and write to and from it. He's not "faking it", those screens are not "shopped", he's just messing around with the contents of RAM. He's asking the question "shopped or not?" because he's a troll. The photos have been analyzed a hundred times already and they're not altered in any way - you can see the individual pixels perfectly fine. He did the exact same thing with the DSi and he's one of the only sources of RAM dumps for the scene so... yeah.

Neimod is pretty legitimate, he's the equivalent of PSP-Scene's Davee - he does a lot of "stuff", shares his info with developers but doesn't release any hacks of his own. He's really in it for fun the way I see it.

Every couple of weeks somebody reads the first post, adds a reply saying its fake, then we have this infinite loop where people say 'yea its real but only this this and this' then the new poster says 'naah uhhh photoshopped' then its followed by an in depth explanation Like the one Foxi4 provided.

You just wait. In a couple of weeks this post will be ignored and somebody else will start to claim it's fake, just like you did. And the guy before you. And the guy before that.

Are you some kind of moron??It's patently obvious that he flipped the screen and that's what he's showing, I've never heard anyone else come to the conclusion that he deleted the icons, that would be stupid unless he zoomed right out.?Besides, those flickr pictures are for the dev scene, who will understand the significance much better than you and I.
