^^^ is that confirmed? There really are roms already dumped and the people who dumped them can play the roms? Then its been hacked already, right? So how come the hacks aren't being released?

No, it hasn't been confirmed. People might just dump them for fun. If they'd come up with a hack, they'd want to mention it so they'd be influential in 3DS hacking history.

It's fake, but perhaps it isn't, which would make it real, so true, but perhaps it isn't and it's not true, so fake, but that guy knows it's fake, but that other one knows it's real, perhaps the first guy is fake, which would mean that it's true, meaning the 2nd guy is right, but he could be lying, so that means it's fake even though the first guy isn't real and that he's claiming that it's fake, which would make it true, unless the 2nd guy is fake which.........

... guys, take it easy, relax, take a deep breath, wait and STOP THIS NONSENSE!!! None of you know anything. You're just making assumptions on assumptions. First I didn't mind, but now, reading your pathetic reflections on the subject makes me sick. Just wait! Stop being stupid kids whining for their christmas gift in summer. No one should post anything else but NEW informations. Your ridiculous analyses of the photos or your totally useless rambling on the subject must STOP!!!!!!

Stop being ASSsszzzz!!!

Thank you.

because the method used is neither cheap nor practical nor comfortable
and they do not want people to pirate games (at least most claim so)

replacing the rom chip with something that "looks" like a rom chip should work

eg
attach ram to a chip that handles refresh to get pseudo-sram
replace the rom chip of a cart with wire to that device
attatch device via usb to pc for power and easy medling with content

or use nor-flash instead of ram to operate untetherd from pc

unless the game cartridge includes a active crypto chip individual to at least that title
you should be able to load any valid rom to it
but only one at a time unless someone get unsigned code to run

the flashcard makers want something cheap (no nor), practical (no external power -> no ram, small) and comfortable (games >1) instead
they could just have a ribbon cable comming out the back of the card that you would route to the battery directly so its not getting power from the cart slot
and they could use ds mode to write a program so you could re flash in ds mode then boot back to 3ds mode ,have an sd slot to hld the other roms ,so what if its expensive people will still pay it and they will still make a profit,

you arent gonna fit that all that stuff into the cartridge
it would have to be an external device

bypassing the 3ds and drawing power from the battery might trick the 3ds
but not the batteries operating time... it's damn low already

you could build it into a backcover+battery replacement thingy

the main problem with this being expensive is that once someone else can do it cheaper
you sit on an lot of expensive but worthless stock

yeah i remember the psp battery that had an sd slot in it so maybe they could design it so like you said it could replace the back plate,or the battery or both, but better to make it not increace the thickness of the system, but yea adding a special batttery inside , that would have to be smaller and more powerfull than the one in there now, to make space for the extra hardware would be even more expensive, but it could be done, i dont really care about the battery life because to be honest 90% of the time i use it at home and have ac , or in a car where you have power, but i doubt people even use these things places where there is not power that often, the only time i do really is if im in a waiting room, the main reason, is the screen its too reflective and it dont show up right in daylight, at all,
it only works in a dim lit room, you cant even use it in the car in the day time really, without it being annoying, even in a moderatly lit room you get distracting back ground reflections, so i would have no problem having to use it on ac/dc adapter,
as for stock i could see it being one of those things like the e3 flasher, it is expensive and nobody else really wants to touch it , for awhile ,
also i think the battery life is really good, though i notice with my dstwo in even if im not using the card it drains much faster, but a switch could remedy that

Well that the 3DS would get fatter, with such a replacement, should go without saying.

But really, it isn't even confirmed if the 3DS monitors the power draw and tbh I highly doubt it.

Even the 360 monitors fan voltage, hence why certain fan mods bricked 360s afaik.
it's gonan be one of the many alternative methods of console manufacturers to curb modding of their systems.

Yeah I doubt that. More likely that they drew too much power and a fuse blow.

I honestly think it would be fine to replace the whole back plate with a flash-thing. Maybe we could make it even fatter and increase the battery life! :D
