No, it hasn't been confirmed. People might just dump them for fun. If they'd come up with a hack, they'd want to mention it so they'd be influential in 3DS hacking history.^^^ is that confirmed? There really are roms already dumped and the people who dumped them can play the roms? Then its been hacked already, right? So how come the hacks aren't being released?
Which is what they've said since they launched the website...don't worry .... "we are in progessing...."
they could just have a ribbon cable comming out the back of the card that you would route to the battery directly so its not getting power from the cart slotbecause the method used is neither cheap nor practical nor comfortable
and they do not want people to pirate games (at least most claim so)
replacing the rom chip with something that "looks" like a rom chip should work
eg
attach ram to a chip that handles refresh to get pseudo-sram
replace the rom chip of a cart with wire to that device
attatch device via usb to pc for power and easy medling with content
or use nor-flash instead of ram to operate untetherd from pc
unless the game cartridge includes a active crypto chip individual to at least that title
you should be able to load any valid rom to it
but only one at a time unless someone get unsigned code to run
the flashcard makers want something cheap (no nor), practical (no external power -> no ram, small) and comfortable (games >1) instead
Then what's the purpose of this thread?Stop being ASSsszzzz!!!
I don't think you know how thin the back plate is.it could replace the back plate,or the battery or both, but better to make it not increace the thickness of the system
Well that the 3DS would get fatter, with such a replacement, should go without saying.
But really, it isn't even confirmed if the 3DS monitors the power draw and tbh I highly doubt it.
Yeah I doubt that. More likely that they drew too much power and a fuse blow.Well that the 3DS would get fatter, with such a replacement, should go without saying.

Even the 360 monitors fan voltage, hence why certain fan mods bricked 360s afaik.
it's gonan be one of the many alternative methods of console manufacturers to curb modding of their systems.
I honestly think it would be fine to replace the whole back plate with a flash-thing. Maybe we could make it even fatter and increase the battery life!Yeah I doubt that.
