Exactly! He knows gamers and customers in general are displeased with the Wii U so the best move by him and Nintendo is to make sure NX doesn't make the same mistakes as the Wii U had.
Even though nintendo has never done something like this before? Every time ninty has announced a console they released it a year later, this happend to the GC, wii and wii u, history with nintendo tends to repeat itself.
What you dont understand is that 10 million people who did buy the wii u will be displeased and if nintendo want as many people to buy their console, 10 million is a great number to start off their first year with... Its all about making money something you seem not to understand...

Most Wii U owners are kids while a small chunk are adult players. Miiverse is kind of the evidence needed.
And exactly what would happen when those same kids are like to their parents "mom a new Nintendo console came out! Can you buy it?", and this happens within four years of a considered life span, the parents will have distaste for the fact they have to empty their wallets again just to buy an expensive new console and games. And what Nintendo want is the 20 million+ new generation of gamers playing their console and not 10 million pissed off parents. TO add you literally are pointing out more problems without backing up your original arguments making it seem like your looking for a reason that would stick that cannot be refuted.
If Nintendo did their marketing properly and had 3rd party support they wouldn't have to be on the cesspit with customers that care less than a smartphone user. Releasing Zelda Wii U on NX will be no big deal, some people will get bitter but they need to realise that the Wii U was a commercial failure so Ninty had no option.
