I am trying this to get the cheats to work, the problems i'm having are that the only cheats that show up are in japanese it simply does not recognise any others and it will not load any games it gives the dldi error message. I have searched through many forums and threads and nothing i've tried has worked any sugestions?

I'm using 1.54 software on an R4 with 4 GB Micro sdhd card.

That's not an R4, that's a CLONE R4. Regular R4/YSMenu setup instructions will not produce a working firmware in your case. See if you can find YSMenu setup details specifically for your card.

Presumably he is attempting to boot YSMenu as an .nds file from the (clone) R4 firmware rather than using it as a complete firmware replacement.
