Here is all the files needed for a genuine DSTT with YSMenu as your primary firmware and TTMenu as your secondary firmware.

Make sure you can view ALL file extensions on your PC. To do so in Windows, open 'My Computer', click 'Tools', 'Folder Options', 'View'. Make sure 'Hide extensions for known file types' is UNTICKED. Click 'OK'.

Step by step :
1. Download Unofficial DSTT 1.17a12 Firmware (fake-killer disabled) HERE. Extract DSTT firmware to the root of your SD card.
step_a.jpg

2. Open your SD card on your PC. Rename TTMenu.dat TO TTMenu.nds. It will become the secondary firmware.

3. Download YSMenu (Google yasu ysmenu (2nd link). Search (Ctrl+F) T_T to find the file) and download 2009/03/27 00:00?EZ3in1+ NOR. Extract YSMenu to a folder on your PC and open that folder.

4. Extract just TTMenu.dat from the DSTT firmware to your YSMenu folder on your PC.
step_d.jpg

5. Open YSMenu folder on your PC. Run ttextract.exe. It will create 2 files : ttdldi.dat and ttpatch.dat
step_e.jpg
step_f.jpg

6. Edit YSMenu.ini in the YSMenu folder on your PC. Place ; in front of the line LITERALS=LITERALS_JPN. Remove ; from LITERALS=LITERALS_ENG. Save file.

step_h.jpg

7. Copy YSMenu.nds from your YSMenu folder on your PC to the root of your SD card.
step_i.jpg
step_j.jpg

8. Open your SD card on your PC. Rename YSMenu.nds TO TTMenu.dat. It will become the primary firmware.
step_j.jpg
step_k.jpg

9. In your YSMenu folder on your PC, copy ttdldi.dat, ttpatch.dat and YSMenu.ini to the TTMenu folder on your SD card.

step_m.jpg

10. Download the latest extinfo.dat, infolib.dat, savlib.dat and usrcheat.dat here. Copy them to the TTMenu folder on your SD card.
step_n.jpg

11. OPTIONAL : If you would like to skin YSMenu, add YSMenu1.bmp and YSMenu2.bmp (both must be 256x192) to the TTMenu folder on your SD card.
step_o.jpg

When finished, this is the final file result :
dstt_1.jpg

dstt_2.jpg

If you want the opposite and TTMenu as your primary and YSMenu as your secondary :
1. Rename TTMenu.dat TO YSMenu.nds
2. Rename TTMenu.nds TO TTMenu.dat

Hope this comes in useful. I have kept it very basic.

I can't find the same YSMenu folder that you have.
Google yasu ysmenu (2nd link). Search (Ctrl+F) T_T and you will see the link.

Uhh... when I load the DSTT it shows the error screen and says MENU??

...
ysmenu.nds should be renamed as ttmenu.dat(and let windows show extensions).

.Most people get confused because of that, extensions aren't seen by default.

Your cart uses R4 Firmware, not DSTT Firmware. When you cart boots, it looks for the file _DS_MENU.DAT and because you don't have it on your cart, this is why you get that error. Try renaming TTMenu.dat to _DS_Menu.DAT

so i need to simply add a working _DS_MENU.dat file? (if exist)
or have to follow from start an other guide?

what is R4YSauto? it's ysmenu for r4 firmware?

edit. ahh i'll try that way
renamed ---> no end "loading"

edit2. do exist a ysmenu which work with r4 AND can use extinfo, infolib.dat ??

Ok.
Yes, you should use R4YSauto. Check the R4 section.
R4YSauto also uses extinfo.dat, infolib.dat, savlib.dat.

After doing all the things, I load up my fake DSTT and I see 2 white screens. Doesn't load. What am I doing wrong?

The guide is detailed and very good, but yesterday I used Retrogamer's version 6.47 DSTT update (download found on this website), and all I had to do was copy and paste the ysmenu folders over to my memory card, and then I had a functional ysmenu on my ds. Of course you don't learn anything by this method, but it is quick and easy.
