Hacking YSMenu and emulators

I read that you can set options in YSMenu.ini to play games using emulators. I set it up to use goomba, and I tried a game and it said that the game could only be played on the Gameboy. This game works in Lameboy, so I tried setting it up to use that, and it didn't work.

Any ideas?

From the YSMenu Wiki:

Adding a file format will allow that particular file to show up in YSMenu file browser (e.g. TXT/BMP/MP3 etc).
Note that I haven't figured out how to launch an appropiate program for any additional formats or even if it's possible
Some files have already been set up for GBA/NES/NeoGeo/Sega Master System and WonderSwan [?!?] emulation
- these require additional programs installed into the YSMenu folder, along with a Slot 2 Flash card like the EZ3-in-1, to work

Particularly the underlined might pose as a problem.

Thanks for the response. I have a GBA flash card in slot-2. Do you think I'd have to put the emulator on there?

I am pretty sure they have to be in the ysmenu folder. I've never tried this stuff myself (I don't have any slot-2), so you are probably going to have to rely on the excerpt from the wiki, the middle line.

I've tried gba emu goomba and nes and I don't think this feature works.

this feature is supposed to work with a 3in1 and the emulators in the ttmenu folder. Dosn't work though. If you manage it let us know.
