Not for much time...

According to Google and Nintendo (check https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/3013450?hl=en ):
The YouTube app is no longer available for new downloads from the Wii U eShop due to Nintendo’s upcoming discontinuation. Starting in October, the YouTube app will no longer be available on Wii U devices. Viewers can still enjoy YouTube on Nintendo Switch devices.

And this another article from NintendoLife (https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2...ll-on-wii-u-wont-be-available-for-much-longer), which the closure of eShop on Wii U also affects Crunchyroll:
Anime subscription platform Crunchyroll will be discontinued on the Wii U from 29th August — with emails being sent out about the end of the service last week. YouTube will last a little bit longer, with the app ending support in October, as mentioned in a statement on Google Support.

It's a shame all the old streaming clients are dead on the Wii U, I loved starting a movie or show in one room, and taking it with me when I had to drop a deuce in the bathroom (my room is close enough to the bathroom to not lose connection) while my girlfriend or friends continued to watch on the TV. Definitely a unique and convenient setup that will officially end when Youtube ends on the device shortly. Still, I have hope that maybe one day there will be some sort of native Wii U media player homebrew app that can make up for these lost services.
