Blaze became my nickname when my friend Amelia dropped by when I was playing Ace Combat Squadron Leader. She assumed I'd chosen the name of the player character myself, therefore must like it, thus started calling me Blaze. It stuck. The strange thing is I actually prefer it to my real name. My real name is a permenant reminder of the weak pathetic creature I was as a child. My chosen name of Blaze is a reminder of my newfound strength and the eternal bond between my friends and I. I've come to prefer Blaze so much that hardly anyone ever calls me my original name any more, and I'm seriously considering making the change permenant and legally binding.

The 163 is the ID number of my old Air Cadet squadron here in Coventry, the 163 Phoenix Squadron. That's also why the icon most people associate with me is a white phoenix, which I really should set as my avatar here, and also why Amelia and the others refer to me as 'Soldier First Class', as I did actually hold that rank.
