Telepathy....because you can never be too direct.

Has to be direct for me 'cause this laptop is actually my old man's, not mine. Pain in the arse but that's how life is. He's had numerous bad experiences with torrents so he never lets me use them. Fortunately I now have a job and soon I'll have my bank account restored (long story) so I'll be getting my own laptop and paying in installments or something, whereupon I'll download whatever I like, whenever I like.

Direct downloads do kinda suck at times though, these being one of these times as the file I want is not available anywhere yet. There's probably a torrent of it somewhere...

I love using Usenet Newsgroups but since I don't have the money to pay for a good Usenet provider, I use torrents.
Direct Downloads are nice, though. The download speeds are great for me which is a huge plus. Sadly, the link usually gets down before I can get to the download.
:]

Usenet Newsgroups, maxes out my connection, although my connection isn't fast.
I only get block accounts though, I don't download a great deal really.

Speed never drops below my max, and everything lasts for a long time

I use a combo of DCC file transfers on IRC (For all my TV shows) and torrents for all else.

usenet for downloading, unless i cannot find things on there, thats when i ed2k/kad it or find a torrent.
i use certain torrent sites for music. i upload to a few niche trackers but other than that i dont torrent anymore.

Torrents Direct downloads are just annoying to find and are quite messy unless you have premium accounts.

not if you know where to look (warez, file sharing communities, etc.)

still messy though. id rather get a torrent or nzb vs a bunch of links of something, also rather pay a usenet provider rather than file hosting places.

but to each his own though.

Whatever method gets me my free slurpy downloads, that's what I'll use.
