Gaming yo can someone help me out here

okay so i got a animal crossing ww save file and when i put it on the root of the the micro sd card it still says that i have to start a new game yet its an action replay save file and thats all i can find.
what am i doing wrong?

Check if the name of the save file is the same as the ROM. If it isn't, change the name of the save file to the name of the ROM.

If it is, check if your save file's extension is ".sav" . If it isn't, you can convert it to .sav file using this site: http://www.shunyweb.info/convert.php. If you got it from gamefaqs, it's most probably not a .sav file but a .duc file.

i cant convert it to sav for some reason its saying that it doesn't need to be converted yes i got it from gamefaq's

1. Browse for your .duc file
2. Change 'source format' to Action Replay Max DS (.duc / .dss)
3. Change 'target format' to whatever you want the file to be.
4. Click 'convert'

You forgot step 2 in this case, most likely.
