Hardware Yet another Switch purchase guide request

Hi, it's been a while since I wrote a post here.
Basically, I'm looking forward to get a Nintendo Switch for months but every time I say to myself wait for Nintendo to release a Switch Lite or a Switch Pro.
Now, people say Nintendo isn't going to announce new hardware in the foreseeable future.
I'm craving games like TLOZ and Pokémon but the latter is coming later this year which means higher chances of a revision coming.
Also, I like to mod my consoles and new hardware means always lesser chances of it getting "hackable".

So my question is: wait for a revision or buy a Switch now?

The chances of getting a patched switch is quite high if you get from the store. By waiting your chances of getting a unpatch swtich will be even slimmer.
But note that there is chances of warmboot happening for all switch firmware till 7.0.1. It has already happened for (1.0.0 to 3.0.0). So getting a patched switch but with system version 7.0.1 and bellow should be good to go in the future. I say buy now try to get new unpatched switch if you can.
