Because the majority of us will already be on that firmware by this point. Although you do raise a good point. Maybe we should put a disclaimer stating you need to be 9.0 or above to run homebrew.

Why is there a compatibility list for O3DS under 9.0, when ninjhax 2 doesn't work under 9.0?
Because, technically, the exploit exists in those browser versions. However, yellows8's site tries to download the ninjhax 2 payload, which makes them effectively useless to users below 9.0.

Weird that there's no working HBL that works for under 9.0 with browserhax
Because actually there aren't payloads to load/run HBL under 9.0 systems, even neither for another useful thing, in despite of exploit works after all!

Edit: Reasons for lack of payloads only are known by Smealum and Yellows8, I guess!

You can use this as a Tubehax replacement or to install another hack. How to install:
1) Turn off your wifi.
2) Scan this QR code by pressing "L+R" and selecting the checkerboard icon.

3) Select "OK" to launch the web browser.
4) Once the web browser is loaded, quit and enable wifi.
5) You're done! Browserhax is now installed! To launch, just click on the web browser icon. :)

This works on most firmwares up to 10.1. Compatibility list:

This may or may not work on firmwares below 9.0. If you're below 9.0 please don't ask for help.
My R buttons busted so is there a workaround to get to the QR code reader? or could i have a direct link to the site that it takes me to?

whenever i try to load it tells me An error has occured. Please save your data in any software currently in use, and then restart the system.

Resetting the browser is as simple as going into browser settings and pressing the "Clear All Save Data" button.

If that doesn't work, check if you have more than one internet connection in your internet settings. If you do, delete all but the one you're using. That might do it.

Hey guys I got browserhax working! [10.1-27U] Immediately installed homemenuhax and now have everything working just fine. Here's what I did:
-On a hunch, formatted a standard 2GB SD card and downloaded the Homebrew Starter kit onto it. [I was using an 8GB microSD with an adapter]
-Deleted Cookies, History, and Save Data, in that order.
-Performed the standard QR code-Wifi toggle setup.
-Tapped far right of slider after zooming in and mashed A button.
-HAX
Woohoo! all these weeks of trying and failing have finally paid off. I'll stick around this thread as a helper, but I don't need help anymore. OP, please add the suggestion about using a formatted non-Micro sd card to the OP.
One more question. How am I going to transfer this to my regular SD card? It's totally cool if I can't, in fact, I'm keeping this one as a backup anyway.
-Swiftloke [obviously]

No, you don't need to format to use this. Also, you can only use mSD on n3DS...
