i'm not sure if i'd already spent 118 hours into a single game. but playing p3p felt too long for me...
maybe it was because of the interruptions.

jin, takaya and nyx was easy to beat with me lvl 85 and the others 76-78...nyx was just...i was a bit annoyed by how long it takes for me to kill him...i'm just repeating the cycle of casting stuff...it was a bit tedious.

i didn't get all the social links...especially aigis and mitsuru's. so i'm replaying this.
it was still january, i thought i can still play through march, but it jumped to march 3 after the battle with nyx. i didn't get any warning. i also didn't go through the silver door.

i have one question though...
i was playing the undub version so i didn't get what someone(i'm assuming aigis since she was beside me) said before the credits.

I beat the game at level 73 and without the ultimate Personae, so Nyx was considerably harder for me xD. Jin and Takaya weren't hard at all though.

She says "Don't worry - I'll always protect you." If you'd like to see it, skip to 7:12 of this video.

About this whole undub issue... that's my fault... i don't like it when people use japanese names for english dubs and i gave him the one i was using...

Yeah - it's the post story, but that's only available on the PS2...so unless you want to play through FES and then unlock The Answer, I suggest getting a save file online xD.

Although - it might be worth it. There are cutscenes and such that aren't present in the PSP version of the game. The music is also different. FES doesn't let you control your teammates though, right? I like being able to control my entire party - I can only imagine the kind of nightmares Mitsuru and her "Marin Karin" can bring.

"Heal plz"
"Marin Karin"
"..."

I'm pretty sure "The Answer" is available from the beginning.

i don't hate the english dub. paarsih gave me a link to the undub and just played with it. though later on when i tried the engilsh version again...i didn't like fuuka's voice so i continued using the undub.

what's the ultimate persona?

also, i can't get my hands on any ps2, but i'll try psx? ps2 the emulator for the pc? but i'm not that hyped to try out FES.

i don't wanna play as a girl...i don't like the idea of hunting males. but if it was served to me on a silver platter. maybe. or if i can see some yuri.

No, you don't have to unlock The Answer. I have the game and it's unlocked from the start you put your disc in.

Really? What the hell, I thought you had to unlock it. Last time I listen to a clerk

.

That being said, looks like I'll be playing Persona 3 again.

It's still worth getting the PS2 game, though, even if it's just for The Answer.

I actually meant the ultimate Persona for each of the arcana - the one's you get for maxing out the social links. The ultimate Persona though, is Messiah, if I recall correctly.

i didn't get any messiah...

when i fought with nyx i only used alice, cybele and titania.

the compendium was hard to fill...and some guides online doesn't seem to be accurate.

Messiah requires fusing Orpheus and Thanatos, which means you'll need to have maxed out the Death Social Link. Additionally, you'll need to be above level 90.

When I fought Nyx, I used a combination of Persona, but the only Ultimate one I had was Melchizedek
, who's not exactly the strongest Ultimate Persona.

As for filling out the Compendium - I'd use the various calculators available online. Fusion takes persona level into consideration, so even if you're following a guide, if you're not using the same levels, there's a chance you won't get the same resulting Persona.

Congratulations, you just played Persona wrong.

Never heard the undub of P3P so the dub was very good overall. The only VA that got annoying was Fuuka
Playing P4 undub and the VA's are fantastic.

Undub is better because VA's don't get in the way if you just want to read instead of listen whereas with dubs, you'll read halfway then just stop and listen because someone keeps reading over you.

Undub ftw

So you speak Japanese?

I really see no point in undubbing unless the voice acting is so mind numbingly bad that you want to hear nothing but moonspeak or you're an actual Japanese speaker who understands the language well enough to get all the nuisances about it but want to stick to the English text since it's easier to you.

For everyone else, I find it hard to tell if the voice acting is even good. I can't understand a single word they're saying and it really defeats the point.

And from what I played, P3P had pretty good voice over work. I've certainly heard a lot worse.

I played P4 dubbed, and I've gotta say, I don't think I'll ever even touch the undub. The VAs for P4 were amazing and coupled with the script they were so natural, it really added to the game for me.

If I watched the first seconds of this in Japanese, I wouldn't be bothered with it but because the VA's did such an awesome job, it made me want to play the shit out of this game.

This game in Japanese wouldn't be as funny.

@guild i started p3p with dubbed and i also told paarish it's good. but just tried anyways and played with it. it was just that fuuka's VA was a bit slow and lacked liveliness... though it's a bit biased since i just listened to a few lines. but i'll be replaying with the dubbed version.

and also, idk why, but for me japanese and korean are nice to hear.
