It seems pretty frequently updated so is this thing ever going to be emulated well
or is it doomed to be worse then wii64 beta 1

Lots of update does not mean it is going to be emulated well; If you looked at the changelog for the Wii version, you would have noticed those are only VERY minor changes, like adding support for SDHC or classic controller (Woow, it must have been very hard to achieve

)

Most people see it's updated so they think people are working on hardly but the truth is that there haven't been ANY serious developper picking up this port yet, for the good reason that it's probably not worth it, Yabause should already be in a more mature state on PC platform (and have better compatibilty) before someone try to port it on less powerful platform, unless you only want to release some kind of Proof of Concept (and give people false hopes)

I haven't had much luck with the newest revision of this sega saturn emulator. I can get it to load the iso but after the intial screen for the makers of the game it just black screens on me.

Holy crap people are ungrateful!

We're dealing with homebrew here, we should be lucky there is a wii64 beta 1, one that actually loads some games.

Yes, homebrew that is free and with a little searching can find the roms/isos with ease. These are why these emulators are in the beta stages; they need more testing, debugging etc.
